    Dyson DC41 Animal October 05, 2011

    I have been looking at Dyson Animal Vaccums for awhile. Last year I put money into my Oreck XL instead of buying a new machine. My Oreck XL does not work much better so I decided it was time for the switch. I decided on this model since it's the newest and seems to have better features than the others. I could not believe all this vaccum picked up the first time using it. The suction is more powerfull than any vacuum I have ever used. My only complaint is with the detachable hose. The wand really needs to telesope out as it comes out of the hose as the long wand makes it hard to move around to vacuum stairs. I'm sure I'll figure it out as I use it though. Great machine. I recommend it highly. Today it is even cheaper than when I purchased it last week.

    Don't Waste the money February 26, 2012

    I work in a Sears Hometown Store, we recently got the DC41 in stock, and i decided to test it. I have never like the Dyson Ball idea, it never seemed to match up to the standard Dyson designs. I thought, maybe the DC41 can save the Ball design. Well, after the first use, I'm sadly disappointed. The head release is very weak, you cant walk the vacuum on its rear wheels to the area u want to clean. And standing it when done is a trick in itself. The floor head bounces rather than adgatating, so it doesnt break dirt loose. and with the head bouncing, it never picks dirt up off the floor. We have all tile floors, with 4 area rugs. The Auto-Adjusting head was great! went from rug to rug with no issue of pushing the rugs away. However, for the price, id rather tip the DC33 back to change rugs. It took 4-6 passes with DC41 to pick up dirt, And when i went back over with the DC33 it took 2, one foward, one back, and i collected easily another inch of debris in the 33 just after I used the DC41!! Save your money, buy the DC33. Don't be sold on the fancy ball. Wheels work just as well

    I absolutely LOVE this vacuum!!! It is easy to use and store. The only thing I foresee wearing out is the way it latches in the upward position. There is no lever or release. You just pull it down and push it back up. I do wish that the canister held a little bit more since I have a lot of carpet in my home.

    Takes a little while to get used to the "ball" technology. Good pickup and so far, no loss of suction. Like it alot. This is our 2nd Dyson Animal. We are giving the 1st to our adult children.

    I have four Chihuahuas and there hair seems to embed itself in to the carpet and rugs.One pass and the animal sucks most of it up!I love the ease of use and that ball is amassing for going around chairs and other things.This vacuum is a little top heavy at first but you get used to it quickly and the only draw back is emptying the dirt out a lot because it cleans soooo well!!
