    The Earlex HV5000 was well worth the $300. investment. It did a much better job than I expected to get. Used it to prime and paint MDF cabinet doors that I was quoted nearly $500. to paint, which I was able to do in two afternoons with great professional looking results. So it has already paid for itself. I had looked at the other models sold in stores under a different name that had the plastic sprayers but decided to spend the extra money for the better quality metal gun and cup. Glad that I did since it will be getting more use now that I know how good of a job it did. I sprayed latex, which I had to thin just a little, with no problems. Going to order an extra cup and needles for future use.
