    Works GREAT! February 04, 2009

    We've had this range and the matching micro/hood since April. We use it everyday. We've made bread, pizza, turkey, cakes, etc. in the big oven. We use the small drawer for lasagna and casseroles. We've used the cooktop for all the standard frying, boiling, saute-ing, etc. It's an amazing range! The Perfect Turkey setting really makes a perfect turkey. I was skeptical but we tried it anyway and two turkeys later (one 18lb. and one 11lb.) and both times it worked unbelievably! We've even used the cook top for pressure cooking. Regarding the ceramic top: We've never had any problems with scratches on ours! There are some very specific "DON'Ts" in the manual such as don't slide pots and pans on the top. This will cause scratches. This isn't the kind of cooking surface on which one can grab the pan handle and slide/shake the pan back and forth to move the pan contents around. Hold onto the handle and use your cooking utensils to stir things around. Nor, have we had any problems with heat marks and we've had all burners except the warming spot and the upper oven on all at the same time. My wife loves how easy this top is to clean. No nooks and crannies like our old stove top. Just a wet sponge with warm soapy water. We've had to use a glass scraper a time or two to get cooked on particles off but even that is easy! Don't be mislead by the negative review before me. This is a high quality appliance that exceeds expectations. Just like any other ceramic top, it has to be taken care of and used properly.

    A European dissapointment!! October 26, 2008

    I bought this range for my wife and paid the higher prices because it was European made and had some great features such as very clever gliding oven racks and when it lights up it looks like you are flying an airplane.....after one month of careful use we had to call the service group to have the glass top changed, it scratches way too easily, glass/ceramic is too soft. Obiously since the parts were coming from Europe it took several weeks. Next we started noticing that the upper front below the control panel was discoloring due to the heat rise, so today my wife called Sears to have it exchanged for another brand. So if you are not going to seriously use it for cooking and only want to impress your friends it is fine, if not it is not worth the money....Electrolux what a dissapointment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I love the capacity, the look and the performance of this range. The lower oven heats up quickly and is great for a casserole, pizza or loaf of bread. The large upper oven is huge! I love the racks and the fact that I can cook so much at once. I can't wait to use it for Thanksgiving! The cooktop is great too. I like how you can select t he burner size and the power level. The breadproofing feature is great. I haven't tried all of the options on the oven yet, but like everything so far! The first time we used it, it took forever to preheat and turned off while we were trying to get it to heat up. It had come unplugged. It has worked fine ever since so I think the installers just didn't have it plugged in fully.
