    The Frigidaire 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner works great August 16, 2010

    This does a great job cooling a 12 x 15 bedroom with ease ~ was installed when it was closing on 90 degrees at the hottest time of the day and the room is on the top floor where it gets unbearably hot in the summer, and as soon as it was plugged in, it immediately pumped out cold air ~ no waiting around for the air to cool, it was COLD right away, and in a room that my old air conditioner couldn't keep up with in the heat, this one cooled to a comfortable temperature and kept getting cooler within a half hour or less.    I was pleasantly surprised and I have only had to run it on low fan speed, despite the awful heat and humidity outdoors, although the temperature setting has had to be up between a 5 and 7  (goes 1 thru 7) , but I am surprised it keeps the room cool only being on low and not having to go up to high fan speed, although I will say when first plugged in I had it on high until the room cooled off.   I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind not having it be digital and the fact that it doesn't have a remote.    I personally would rather be comfortable, couldn't care less that it isn't digital, as long as it works well.

    This Frigidaire Room Air Conditioner is a piece of ****. July 27, 2010

    I now have 2 Frigidaire 12,000 BTU window air conditioners.  One has a remote and is digital and I love it.  The second one is not digital, I paid more for it and it's a piece of ****.  It's supposed to cool off 640 sq. feet, it does not.  I have it in a space about 200 sq. feet and it's not cooling that small space.  It's the worse piece of ****.  It's not digital and you cannot set the temperature.

    Our former window unit crashed, and we bought this to replace it. Despite record Texas temperatures, this cools the living room and dining room. Time will tell if it's economical and energy-efficient.

    This air conditioner was a godsend. With temperatures 100+ and no stores with a/c's for sale, I got this one online. It cooled my house so good I had to turn it on low.

    The key is to be cool and bang for the buck wise this thing blows! In a good way. It cooled off quite a large area.

    ?I just lugged out my heavy a/c for my new lightweight and they were both 12,000BTU. It not only works just as well, but even better, we used to keep it on the highest setting on my old one, but now we keep it on the lowest and it does the same job even better. I highly recommend, people who said it was loud, must be sleeping right underneath it lol. But she is quite and lighweight and works like a horse. Great Price and Fast UPS Shipping. A++++++
