    this oven breaks.,the bad door trumps anything good

    Like everyone else commenting on this oven, I was limited by space. I replaced an oven that lasted 28 years. I read the reviews before buying this one but with the limited choices, I went ahead and bought this one. The oven itself works fine. We use a separate timer rather than the oven's timer, no big deal. Then there is the oven door. I had no idea that my wife and daughters were soooo strong that they could bend that metal hinge as far as they have and of course, the hinge on the right side is now completely frozen and we can't use it at all. It's pathetic (and should be thoroughly embarassing to Frigidaire) that anything could be made this poorly. I am resigned to replacing the hinges now but will start saving for its eventual replacement which won't be too far off.

    this oven breaks.

    The metal on this pos is so thin you pull the screws holding the door hinges right out.

     

    Not only that we have replaced the hinges several times and they are such a bad design that we can't even use this piece of crap. My wife refuse to use it because she can't open the oven door because it sticks because of the bad hinge design.

    And when you order the hinges the people tell you they have problems with that.

    Poor quality, uneven baking. Approved repair companies are unresponsive and rude. The hinges broke. Couldn't be fixed. The digital temperature display faded shortly after the 1 year warranty ran out. Don't Buy !!!

    Read the reviews below. This oven WILL break. I can't believe that Sears still carries this model. I can't believe I paid $800 for an appliance that lasted less than 2.5 years (with very little use). I feel so ripped off. :(
