    manufacturing defect as delivered January 22, 2009

    We would give this stacked unit 5 stars if it were not for a major defect found the day after delivery. The warm/cold switch did NOT deliver warm water for the wash cycle, instead it delivered ice cold water. The hot/cold selection worked fine and the cold/cold worked but not the warm/cold. Also, a squeek occurs a few minutes into the wash cycle and afraid it might lead to failure with time. The switches seem cheap and low quality although time will tell. We plan to get an exchange and try a new unit same model. The description as an xtra large capacity also doesn't make sense since the washer is a lowly 2.7 cubic foot and the dryer is a common 3.0. Perhaps for a stacked unit this is extra large compared to typical stacked units, but compared to side by side washers and dryers these figures are not extra large but rather average or below average capacities.

    I am having to replace a transmission less than 2 years after buying this product. I have NEVER and  I mean NEVER had to put any kind of major repair into a WD unit before and I have had machines for upwards to 10 years! This makes me want to EVER buy this brand again

    I have had this washer/dryer for less than a year and the motor for the spin cycle died!  Not to mention it never really dried the clothes very well.  Wouldn't buy again if I knew what I know now.

    This is a great product. It takes up less space and works great. This is our second one that we owned. The first lasted for 7 years. The only complaint I had was the knobs on the front will break over time and hard to replace.
