Can't believe the negative reviews! February 27, 2012

I have owned this stove for over 10 years and NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM.  I love it.  We use the griddle all the time and it's so easy to clean.  I did have to look around to find the right size pans and baking dishes for the small oven but William-Sonoma & Sur la Table had a large selection on-line.  I ordered a second rack for the small oven and during the holidays I can cook 2 side dishes in the small oven.  As for the other reviews, stainless steel scratches if you use it alot - just look at a stainless steel sink; I love to cook, do it all the time and I keep my stove VERY clean and have never have ANY rust; oven doors get very hot - be careful!

I'm getting ready to update my kitchen and will be replacing my appliances.  I will be buying this stove again.

Do Not Buy This Range Or Any Frigidaire Product!!! March 08, 2011

I know my review is rather long; however, I urge everyone to read it. We made a $1,000 mistake and I hope to keep others from doing the same. Thank you and please read on.

We purchased this range to replace our very old (about 50 years old) but oh-so-much better double oven range. The old range was also a Frigidaire; however, it was made during a time when manufactures cared about their customers. As the old one was a 40" we either needed to get another 40" or completely remodel our kitchen. This was the only 40" option. This range is cheap in every sense of the word except price! It feels like a child's play stove compared to our old one. Putting the modern assembly aside (every appliance you buy these days is awful as far as I am concerned), it's dangerous! We assumed the smaller, second oven door would open from top to bottom as our old one did. It only makes sense, right? There was no information regarding how it opened in the description or specifications. Only after it was delivered did we find that it opens from right to left. And where do your arms go when you put something into a hot oven? On either side that's where. Right against the scalding door. To top it off, our stove was previously between a cabinet and a wall (again we didn't want to remodel which is why we purchased this model). This greatly restricts opening the door. We can get the door opened about 6 inches, that's it. Apparently Frigidaire thinks that everyone should have the same kitchen setup and that the setup should accommodate their stove. Not that their stove should accommodate our kitchens. I contacted Frigidaire over concern of myself and others who buy this range getting burned. At first they didn't respond. After I sent a second email I received a very generic response thanking me for taking the time to write to them. Apparently they don't care if their paying customers get burned on their faulty products. All that said, I highly recommend that no one buy a Frigidaire product at all because they apparently don't care about their customers and I stress that absolutely no one should buy this range unless you enjoy the frustration that will come with owning it and the pain received from the burns as a result of using it

    Disgraceful 40"double oven range April 21, 2012
    via sears_dot_com
    By agoodcook of Friendswood, TX

I've had two 40 double oven ranges and need a new one. The first was a Hotpoint "55) the best..had a deep well & electric outlets(lost in flood) 2nd Almond GE (above features were discontinued... thanks to our government..NOW some fool has decided to alter the former pull down door of the small oven to open to the side so you can burn yourself and obstruct opening of drawers and cabinets to the left. Theonly thing made better these days: shoe laces.

Love this range April 12, 2012

Three years ago we had to replace the original stove in our 1956 home. This range was a perfect replacement. It holds and cooks a 25 pound turkey to perfection. It bakes cakes done and golden brown. We love it.

Wow - I am surprised by these bad reviewws February 01, 2012

    Pros:
    side by side oven

I have had this over for about 4 years and love it.  I have to admit I don't use the side oven as much as I should as it's hard to find pans to fit.  I have never burned myself on it either.  Like any over it is hot - be careful. Also, I love the large storage drawer underneath and the griddle!!!
