Great stove
Purchased my first house recently and the existing stove had an internal gas leak. Instead of attempting a fix we decided to purchase a new one. After much research we decided on the Frigidaire. It is the best quality with the most features for the best price. After owning said unit for about three months. We like the five burners, the controls are very responsive and the oven heats extremely evenly not to mention the great storage drawer. Overall we are pleased with the performance.

Decent stove - but electrical problems in the first week
We bought this based on Consumer Reports recommendations. It is a good range for the money, but we're having issues with the easy probe functionality after only owning the range for a week.

Dangerous Range... Do Not Buy

Purchased Frigidaire Gallery Range from Sears based upon our past experience with a Frigidaire range and the good reviews we saw here. We bought this unit to replace an old Frigidaire range which served us very well for over a decade without much of a problem. While this new Frigidaire Range lasted less than 40 days in our home before we returned it to Sears for an upgrade due to major safety concerns. The main problem with this range is that whenever we cooked on the stove or reached at cabinets above the range we would turn on the gas. The way the stove knobs are designed they are very light and can be very easily moved. In addition to this problem, four of the oven knobs physically stick out past the handle you use to open the oven. And, we have a cabinet drawer next to the stove which would hit one of the knobs when we pull it out and turn on the gas . If the knobs were higher and recessed behind the oven handle - like we see on other ranges - this cabinet drawer would hit the oven handle and would not reach the knobs. On one occasion my wife accidentally turned on the gas and caused a fire ball to rise above the stove when she turned the gas off. The gas must have been leaking for a while and when she realized it and turned the **** back, it hit the automatic igniter which lit the gas in the air. After that incident we removed all the knobs from the stove until it was replaced. We also noticed a strong smell like something electrical burning in our home, but was not sure if it was the microwave - which is above this stove - or from using the broiler in the oven. The scent became strongest 10 to 15 mins after the cooking is over. We contacted Sears about these issues and they sent out a technician. According to the tech they have been getting a lot of complaints about this range. Complaints of the gas being accidently turned on, fire balls on the stove and burning smells. He said there is nothing he can do about these problems because they are not due to manufacturing defects that can be repaired but due to the poor design of the range itself. But we could replace it by requesting an upgrade to another range since we had it less than 45 days. So we requested an upgrade and replaced it with a Kenmore model which looks very similar to this Frigidaire. We actually paid less for the Kenmore than the Frigidaire since it was on Labor Day sale from Sears. So far we have not had any problems with the new range - gas being turn on by accident or burning smells after cooking. Even our cabinet drawer issue is resolved. The drawer hits the oven handle when opened and does not reach the knobs of the stove. Given the comments from the tech and our experience with this range, I am surprised by the positive reviews I see on this WEB site. I would not recommend anyone buy this range. I believe, Sears should return every one of them to the manufacturer as defective and unsuitable for use.

So far- very nice

I like stainless steel - I need not worry about the door cracking. Burner BTU's purposefully varied - a useful and necessary detail for Chef's that really watch the heat. The insulation of this item is effective, oven heats quickly, reducing fuel usage.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good value

This unit is not commercial grade or super fancy, but it fits perfectly with out lifestyle. We have a large family, so the fifth burner and extra capacity in the oven are great. Cooks a bit under temperature (I have to add about 15* above what the recipe calls for.)

Gas Range

Love the range, the only wish I have is that it had removable drip pans around the burners. Cleaning would be easier.

Faulty clock modules

Purchased this range new in Feb. So far it has been waiting on parts and service more than we have been able to use it. Control module failures, F10 errors. First service the module was reset, continued with temp over error. clock and overlay ordered and replaced, replacement was faulty. Appliance has been down for almost 5 weeks now. Complete garbage!

Cooking With Gas!

This 5 burner stove is nothing short of a miracle. My older gas convection Gallery finally bit the dust and this one has such even cooking and a fast boil burner that my young adult kids love cooking with it.

2 Months it seems to work as advertised

So far after 3 months this oven has performed as advertised. It is a beautiful oven and seems to cook and clean up very well. The fifth burner on the top is great. My only complaint is the gas burner covers (some kind of cast iron I believe) do not clean up well. We have had spots on them from the first cooking mess.
