    I bought this because it was a cheap gps and i didn't think i would need a gps very often. When i bought it to go on a trip, i was surprised how reliable it was. I found neat resturaunts, the cheapest gas, I was able to find everything and now i even use it to find places around my own town that i never knew about before.

    clear screen,good volume

    Great product - used on trip to NYC - couldnt have navigated without it - easy to use - accurate directions - quick to re-route when you stray or make side trip from original destination.

    Overall pleased, but this was my first GPS so I learned some things that I want to share. This does not include life time maps (think more important for people who travel regularly) or traffic (extra). It is very easy to use, and you can download music to it. 

    Prior to purchasing this I bought and returned a Tom Tom which I later learned is not as good as a Garmin.

    This product is refurbished, but don't let that keep you from buy it. Often refurbished is actually better than original because it has been tested and modified as needed to enhance.

    If you are looking for a fancy GPS with many features such as being able to suggest various retail stores nearby then this is not for you. But if you want it for every day driving when you periodically need help with directions to go some place new and are hesitant to get directions online (concern that it will direct you to a street that does not exist or help you if you get lost along the way) then this is definitely for you. Good price too.

    I recommend it for a basic, easy to use gps system.

    When I started search for an GPS my focus was to get one with the following requirements.

    1. It provides quick driving direction optimized for either shortest path, quick and avoid highways especially toll roads. This GPS did a great job. I was bit disapointed with the time it took for route recalculations but not bad at all for the price.

    2. Wanted an integrated blue-tooth capability for my cellphone. Pairing with this GPS was very easy for my Nokia and GPS speaker is loud enough to use with the phone.

    3. Wanted a bigger screen that can provide pictorial view of street. This GPS provides good areal view of the roads in both 2D/3D. The touch screen navigation is pretty good and sometime you need to touch it hard. With a screen protector it could still reduce the touch screen interface.

    4. GPS which is energy efficient to conserve battery when GPS not in use. With this GPS you can control the screen illumination, I had set it to 50%, extends battery life. Running the GPS fully charged with my settings(bit conservative I had to) on battery ran for about 2+ hours, which I suppose many GPS does. This could have been better.

    Overall I am happy with this GPS and I use it regularly. I will recommend this GPS if your requirements are similar as mine.
