Just makes sense to have the freezer on the bottom. Most people enter the frig many more times a day than the freezer, so why bend over every time you want to get in the refrigerator.

Replaced a 22 year old refrigerator with this and wow, what an upgrade! We love how quiet and efficient this unit is and the interior features are very well made.

I love all the room in the refrigerator, but the vegetables draws already cracked on the slides, my refrigerator is less than a year in use.

Like the space in the door. also the icemaker has kept up with our summer drinks.

Purchased this refrigerator 3 weeks ago and afraid it has to go back.  First, I purchased this refrigerator without seeing (it was not available in the stores), but I had seen many bottom freezer styles that I had been searching for and not many of them turned me off.  And, I was counting on the GE brand.  However, as soon as it was delivered, I was shocked to see that the bottom freezer drawer was only the door, rails, and wire baskets (and icemaker, of course) - no enclosing drawer.  When I pulled the freezer drawer out, there was my kitchen floor right under it!  I can't believe that can be very energy efficient.  I had only seen one other refrigerator at ****** or ********** with this feature while I was shopping around, and I looked at probably 1,000 units all over town.  And upon mentioning this feature to several sales people, they too seemed surprised, several in obvious disbelief. Second issue - twice I've gotten up to find the refrigerator door open.  The door simply will not close unless you push (keep your hand on it) it all the way shut...there is no swinging the door and expecting it to close behind you!  I called Sears, and they sent delivery people out to level it, saying that it probably needed to be tilted back. But, delivery people told me it was perfectly level, and the problem was that "I had a lot of items in the door"...huh???  Third issue is that once the refrigerator door is closed, it's hard to open!  The whole unit moves away from the wall!  I was hoping this was something that would resolve itself and was likely due to the newness, but in the three weeks I've had this fridge, it still slides away from the wall when I pull the door to open it.  Now, I'm searching for a new fridge!  Too bad...this one fits so perfectly, and I'm having a hard time finding another one with the capacity that will fit the height limitation under my cabinet.  :-(

Great space! Unless you eat nothing but frozen meals, you'll have plenty of space in the freezer. Love the contured look and clean steel feel cleans easily.

I have had this refrigerator for six months. This is a very roomy refrigerator. My electric bill has actually went down in usage and price since I have owned this refrigerator! The refrigerator motor is very quiet. This is my first refrigerator with a bottom freezer and this is the best feature of this refrigerator! I can actually see everything in the fresh refrigerator section with out bending over.The freezer is very roomy also.This refrigerator is very easy to clean also.It is pretty like considering how big it is.
