We are so pleased with our purchase, even though it was outside of our budget, it paid off for itself with performance within the first 2 cycles. we were amazed at how it took care of the tough stains and everything came out spotless.

Cleans dishes and glassware quite well. Extremely quiet during operation, - except at the end of each drain cycle. The drain pump vibrates/cavitates and it sounds like an horrific meat grinder. GE manual and technician says this is "normal". First dishwasher I ever had that makes this "normal" noise!

Love this dishwasher, especially how super quiet it is! I really like the Quick wash setting.

i did a remodel and this dishwasher was well worth the extra money. I cant even tell that it is running it is so quiet. It is easy to use. And the push buttons are on top of the door and out of site when the door is closed

This dishwasher will not clean any dishes that have food on them. If the dish is not completely wiped clean the food residue is still on the dish after the end of the cycle regardless of what settings are used. I've tried using the cascade action pacs as well as liquid dishwashing detergent in the automatic dispenser and the rsults do not differ. I spend as much time cleaning the dishes to put them in the dishwasher as I would if I hand washed them.

We received this GE dishwasher (PDWT500V00WW) as a replacement for our five year-old model, which caused a fire. The first replacement leaked water between the door panels and onto the floor. GE sent a repair man out to take a look at it. He ordered and installed some replacement parts that he hoped would fix the problem. The repairs did not work, so GE sent another replacement of the same model, with the same problem; leaking between the door panels. While we waited for GE to sort things out and offer a resolution, we played with the wash cycle options. We found that while the dishwasher leaked water between the door panels on all wash options, it was less noticeable on the auto and normal cycles, and did not necessarily form puddles on the floor. However, when reaching under the door, the padding between the door panels was soaked and there was a small accumulation of water along the under edge of the door. The most noticeable leakage during washing was on the steam and added heat selections, with increased water accumulation of 4 ounces or more after the dishwasher had completed the dry cycle and sat overnight. It seems that the overall design of this dishwasher does not allow for proper handling of the water usage and accumulated condensation. Three months after our five year-old GE dishwasher burned, we finally resolved the problem. GE bought their faulty dishwasher back and we bought a different brand.

This dishwasher came with our new home purchase. Most puzzling is the spacing of the spindles on the bottom rack. There's a 6" gap in the middle between the 2 sets of spindles. Unless I'm washing platters or buffet plates, nothing fits there. Bowls laid face down don't get clean. Since using bulk dispenser, dishes are not getting clean. Silverware comes out dirty too. Will have to test gel pacs. Overall I'm highly disappointed with this appliance. Continued disappointment with GE Profile products.

We recentlyremodelled our kitchen and wanted all of the appliances to match. We should have heeded the reviews on the internet that stated this dishwasher does not wash well. The reviews are correct. There is usually food debris left on a few items after every load. The last load I took out had a cup with coffee stains still in the interior of the cup! If you wash the dishes before loading the dishwasher, you will be fine. This unit is nothing more a very expensive plate warmer. It does not wash dishes well.

As part of our kitchen remodel we selected this dishwasher. We checked out numerous reviews on Internet and from consumer publications. We have fairly large /wide dishware. We went with dishware in-hand to stores (my wifes idea!) and tried them in a lot of dishwashers ;including other highly recommended brands. They fit in this dishwasher. It is so quiet you hardily notice it. We use vinegar as we did in our old dishawsher) to fight hardwater stains. My wife and I like different detergents; but no complaints so far. Big selling point was this GE product was Made in USA

I'm not sure why a couple reviews say this D/W doesn't clean well. Are they using the right detergent? I find it to do an excellent job. Had it for 6 months I love it. Racks are very convenient. Not having to put detergent in every time is wonderful. If I could make one suggestion, I would say to change the style of the silverware holder. Tops come off too easy. Other than that it is great and I love the controls.
