GE  27'' Laundry Center w/ Electric Dryer

Broke just after 1 year warranty was up. Paid $400 to get fixed. The switch on the washer needed to be replaced and also the balancing system was messed up. 2 months later the anchor on the tub broke and sears wanted almost $800 to fix. no thanks, lesson learned. Wouldnt recommend GE

The purchase of this washer/dryer was at the request of my company. We only had a small area to locate a washer/dryer, and this one went in with a breeze. The user settings are simple to use and I see no problems with other employees using this machine.

Researched and read reviews. This was an excellent unit for the minimal space I have. The past six years I tried a competitors so called energy efficient model. It wasn't. I can save far more water and electricity just by the sheer capacity of this unit. The clothes are cleaner and this unit is a time saver. Would recommend for anyone who has a space restriction but still desires a full size top quality laundry center.

I've only had the machine for a week but have used it multiple times. I have not experienced any of the problems other reviewers have mentioned. We replaced our decrepit unit with this model and it fit in the same space but the load capacity was surprisingly large. Also, I have no problem with noise (obviously it makes some noise, but not bad at all) and find that it washes and drys fairly quickly. One reviewer said that it wrinkles clothes but I have found quite the opposite. I have bought more expensive full sized stackables and I have to admit that this unit compares quite nicely. I would recommend it.

My Landlord replaced an old unit that went bad with this unit. I wish I had the old unit back becuase this new unit does a terrible job of washing and drying. The wash machine does not wash the clothes very clean and if you use fabric softner it dose not rinse out so it leaves spots on clothes. It also leaves clothes so wrinkled when they come out of the wash it looks like they have been in the washer for a week wet! The washer also rinsed my clothes four times the othe day, not sure why? As for the dyer it's no better. Anything that has a string on it the string will be shredded off. It also rips off buttons and has put holes in sweaters. I have also found black marks on clothes that will not ome out. I hang a lot of clothes to dry and the dewrinkle cycle gets absolutely no wrinkles out so I have to put it on for a lot longer and my clothes still look wrinkled. This unit is just very poor! Is GE going to reimburse us for all the clothes it has ruined. I really don't have a lot of extra money to be buying new clothes!!!

I exchanged a Frigidair for this GE and the GE is much better. While it is a bit louder, it is faster. The dryer door issue noted by another writer is due to the machine not being leveled. Once that is solved, all is well.

I bought my condo and this came with it, through Ryan Homes. What a piece of junk!!! The dryer is okay, but the Washer has a cycle which makes my condo feel like it is having an earthquake every times it runs... And it tears up every delicate piece of laundry which goes in there, bras, undies, you name it. STAY AWAY from THIS. I am looking to replace ASAP!

When getting clothes from washer to put in dryer, dryer door closes by itself before putting clothes in. A tech came out and said this is normal. Anyone else having this problem. Not great getting hit in the head every time I do my laundry.

Bought this unit for cottage. Works very well, absolutly no problems. Washer holds as much as a normal top load.
