    We bought the Advantium Oven about five years ago. It took time to learn how to operate it. Little confusing at start. It's now used every day. From baking, to re-heating. Thawing frozen food, what ever. We like it so much, that were thinking of buying another one for our summer house. I've had the Sears service contract since I bought the oven. We replaced a bulb and the upper plastic cover, which was broken by the service man when he replaced the bulb. I rate it a four because the exhaust fan is noisy. The price now is about double the original cost. Still a great oven.

    Worse appliance I've ever owned, February 27, 2008

    I have owned this oven for over five years. It has been repaired several times. Several major parts have been replaced at least once. The smart board is to be replaced again next week, this will be the third time, it was replaced twice in 2005. Repairs are costly. In 2005 three repairs totaled $1,404.19. If I had not purchased the protection agreement (which has cost approx $475.) I would have to get rid of the oven. This oven has had more repairs than all the other appliances that I have owned during the last 50 years. I have talked to GE and Sears. No help from them. This is a lemon.

    Pros:
    Browns and bakes,Cooks quickly,Easy to use controls
    Cons:
    Fan is a bit on the noisy side

    This is a great appliance to add to your kitchen; I recommend it over a standard microwave, because it does so much more.  You can bake and actually brown cakes and cookies, and the time is reduced by 1/3.  Baked potatoes come out with nice, crisped skins, and really fast!

    I bought the Advantium when they first came out many years ago with the 220V I have had at least 3 service calls in the last 18 months and additional 7 prior to that. With out the warranty I bought I would have spent over $3,000 servicing and repairing this oven. So if you do buy this oven make sure you buy a warranty.
