How Interlock Switch Works?
When moved right, the plate blocks the generator back feed circuit breaker and allows the main breaker to remain ON.
When moved left, the generator back feed circuit breaker may be turned ON, but the main circuit breaker is blocked and will remain OFF.
What is a generator interlock kit?
Generator interlock kit consists of two sliding metal plates held together by three bolts.
It is a device just manual slide left and right interlock plate to allow safe back feeding of your home through a portable generator during power outages, preventing utility and generator supplies from being ON at the same time.
It’s used to direct the generator power to any circuit in your house safely in the event of an unexpected power outage, so that you can use electricity normally.
EASY TO INSTALL THE INTERLOCK KIT:
1. Power Off
Power off, place the bottom plate(holes only) EXACTLY as shown and then use the pen to mark holes through the bottom plate's holes.
2. Drill Holes
Remove the panel cover from the breaker panel and drill the three holes marked on the panel cover using the supplied 3/16'' drill bit.
3. Install Interlock
