    Good Product May 31, 2010

    I looked all over for this product and finally found it at Sears.  I like the way it cooks and especially that it protects my kitchen from spatters.  It is very fast to heat up and cook.  Hint for cleaning:  Get a spray bottle of water and spray the machine when it is still warm, not hot, and it will usually clean up with just a wipe or two of a paper towel.  The trays also come out so you can put them in the dishwasher if need be.

    The product could be made better with the addition of an off-on switch and a way to regulate the heat.  A cast-iron grilling plate would be nice too.

    You get what you pay for...a mess September 20, 2009

    Hate this grill due to the mess it makes....practically nothing is contained, I have to use aluminum foil underneath the entire system to catch the oily juices from whatever I cook as the "catch bin" does very little.  An ultimately inferior product.  I have to clean up my countertop plus the bottom of the grill (which is always covered in grease after cooking), as well as everything else.  For THAT price of $49.99 this is absurd, if anything the price, at best, should be $12.99.  They probably built it this way on purpose, to teach us a lesson not to buy anything for less than $80.  It's too cheap to return, the return postage alone plus your time to pack it up isn't worth it.  I wonder how many of these grills go in the garbage and contribute to the pollution of our planet?  I know mine will.  Thanks for nothing George.

    Pros:
    Low fat cooking method.

    Doesn't have an off switch,No way to regulate heat,Drips too much grease onto countertop.,Difficult to keep cooking area clean.

    Aaaarrrggghhh!!  It was a disaster and a nightmare to clean after cooking.  I am seriously considering returning this item after just one use!!  Somehow the design on this is not the same as the original grill.  With the drip tray in place, this design will continue to drip a HUGE amount of grease from underneath onto your countertop.  Next time I use this, I will need to place wax paper or parchment paper on my countertop, then place papertowels on top of the wax paper or parchment paper BEFORE cooking. Also, the non-stick plates don't seem as smooth and durable as the original grill.  It's very obvious that this design was all around the price.  For this grill, you will get what you pay for, so I recommend a HUGE upgrade from this one.  Also, the original grill was much larger than this one.  I could only cook 2 hamburger patties at one time.  :(  It doesn't have an on/off switch and there's no way to regulate the heat.

    Whoever designed this grill never used it before putting it on the market. I spend more time & money on paper towels for the clean up from the oil spilt on my counter & under the grill.  wish I had never bought it. My daughter bought one similar & it cost less with no mess & it still was a George Foreman but the design of the bottom plate has an extended lip to allow the oil to flow into the drip container.

    The George Forman grill is a great tool for cooking steaks, chicken, porkchops and shrimp to name a few. This grill cooks both sides at the same time and is slanted so any grease is removed during the cooking process. This grill is great for cooking shrimp. It comes out perfect without sitting in its juices which makes it soggy and mealy. I also use this grill for making grilled cheese sandwiches in minutes. The grill has many uses an cleans up very easily with a paper towel as long as you clean it while it is hot.
