Great tool chest
This is a great tool chest that is well built, with full extension drawers. It fits nicely on top of the mobile rolling GearChest. The only problem with the GearChest, which was shipped via UPS, was a minor ding in one of the panels. This is a common problem with many of the Gladiator Garageworks products. They could all use better packaging by the manufacturer.

Great chest, Very rugged and well built. Very heavy. The only complaint I have is that when 1/2 inch deep sockets are put into a rack for easy access the cover will not close, if the cover were 1 inch higher this would be an unbeatable product.

sturdy, mutliple-shelves, nice gear chest.
Like people have said, this is heavy. If you'll be moving it around you'll want it on top of something with casters. That being said I love having something a little more heavy duty and with multiple shelves to keep my tools organized. Like anything, I would say check it out in the store first and make sure it's for you. My one tip is to wait for the gladiator units to go on sale, I waited for the 20% off garage storage sail, getting on the mailing list or craftsman list helps let you know about this. If you are going to spend this much money, might as well wait a little bit and save some extra cash

Gladiator GearChest excels in all areas
When looking for a tool chest topper like this, you want something that's durable, has drawers that roll straight and don't cock to one side or the other. You also want something with durable handles (not flimsy plastic inserts).
This unit excels in all areas. Its also great looking. It is worth the money to get a high quality, great looking, well functioning unit like this.

Excellent tool chest!
I have been building a gladiator garage over the past several months. The tool storage is excellent. I have the five drawer bottom chest and this setting on top. I am very impressed with how much the chest will hold and the quality of the construction. The tool storage has made working on projects simple. I no longer have to dig through drawers looking for a tool and dealing with the frustration of locating it. My tools now have a "place" and are easy to find. The construction of the gladiator equipment is worth the money. The best part is how the gladiator system works together to handle everything from hanging yard equipment to organizing the kids sports equipment. The tools storage is a plus for the garage and the family. If you are a family man or a weekend warrior this system is right for you.
