Good basic corded power drill
Excellent product for the price. Only let down by the chuck which will not hold a drill bit in tough material. Would be better if it was supplied with a keyed chuck.

Good Value but Problem with Chuck
I'm pleased with the features, power and value of the drill but have had a problem with the keyless chuck. Having only used it once I had a difficult time getting the drill bit to center in the chuck. It appears to made of plastic and a small part seems to have broken off. I plan to contact Hitachi about the problem.

Powerful!
This is a great product. It has plenty of power to get most jobs done. In the first few months I had to have the chuck replaced, took it to a shop in town and they took care of it no problem. Since then, I have not had any problems. I use it for most handyman projects.

smaller than my 1/2" drill
I have been using it to install blinds and sound system in our new house. Its great in the crawl space drilling up through the floor with a 1-1/2" wood bit. I like the smaller compact size to fit in corners and between floor joist.
