Hitachi  3/8 In. 6 Amp Drill

i have only had this product short. So far I have had no problems.

Batteries last a long time, for 1.5AH 12V. Very strong 12V impact driver.

At first I was skeptical about getting a 10.8V tool for home use, as I was usually disappointed in the 12V Black & Decker offerings, and had resorted to the bulky 18V drill. I decided to take a plunge on Hitachi, based on recommendations from coworkers. I needed something small for light household projects. This kit seemed like it would suit my needs, and it sure delivered. While small and light, it packs a pretty good punch. Besides the drill, it also comes with a very useful impact driver, which is very powerful yet easy to handle. The two batteries last usually through the course of each of my projects, and I'm happy that while small, I can still stand the tools on the battery. My only wish would be for the charger to be slightly smaller, because it takes a lot of room in the supplied carrying/storage bag. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase, and will likely buy more hitachi tools from now on.

I actually bought both of these seperately but am reviewing as a set. I have been a die hard craftsman user for my entire life. When building furniture in my woodshop, sometimes a 19.2 v drill is just too much. I purchased these to do smaller jobs in hard to reach places. I soon found that I was grabbing them for the large jobs as well, they fit well in my hands and really perform when needed and the battery life is excellent. The impact driver will almost keep up with my 19.2 on deck screws. Excellent drills.

I was tired of buying batteries for my Dewalt cordless tools. I decided to go online and research tools.After comparing all brands and warranties, I bought the 12 volt Hitachi combo set. I used it at my hunting club to build a 18 x 8 deck from the ground up, complete with sides and roof. The set worked flawlessly and is still going strong. I liked it so much that I gave away my Dewalt tools and have bought the 18 volt c 18dsl - the wh 18dsal -the ds 18dsal the cr 18dsl and have replaced my corded saw with thec7sb2. I now have the 12 and 18 volt drill and driver sets. I have the 18 volt saws all and a 6.5 inch 18 volt saw and a 7.25 corded saw. I could not be more pleased with these tools. THE ONLY THING THAT COULD HAVE MADE THEM BETTER IS IF I HAD RECIVED THEM AS A GIFT. Tanks for making such a trouble free set of tools.

Drill and Impact Driver will do most everything larger heavyweight drills and drivers will do! Deck screw driving is the best with these lightweight drills. A must have for the shop woodworker! You will never use a heavyweight drill or driver again! Worth every penny!

This product is better than other cordless drills i've owened before,light and powerfull and no job to big or small to use it in.

I mount HDTV's almost daily and use the impact driver to drive in the TV Mounts. I can't believe how much power these drills have. I also have a set in my house. The wife loves it because they are light. Unlimited uses. wonderful tool!

I love almost everything about Hitachi products. I have an older 9Volt driver/drill that has was the one that sold me on your products. I still have that drill today and I've installed cabinets with it for over 4 years (A true work horse for its size). So I bought the 12 volt set and discovered that they were not as powerful as my nine volt, huh. I tested it with 3"screws into studs and the 12 volt impact had some trouble driving the screw while the nine volt just drove it home. I guess I was overzealous about what the capabilitys of the 12 volts were going to give me. Although I still use them I don't use them for driving home the bigger screws and use them for more finesse operations. Love the size the feel to the hands and the durability. Your products are solid and I like that about them, no vibrations , tight gears and the battery life is very good.
