The flexibility of the aluminum wire mesh was tough, and the top and bottom edges may scratch up your hands, please remember to put on gloves before you start to install the leaf guards for gutters.Â
Once completing installation, the gutter cover system will immediately do the job of preventing leaves from getting in the gutter.Â
Method One:
- In this method, no screws or fasteners are needed. The other tools may need: a ladder, measuring tape, a screwdriver, and wire cutters.
- As the sides of the mesh are sharp, make sure you use gloves. Then start on one end and measure down your gutter.Â
- As you start to install the gutter guard, squeeze with both hands to make it into a half moon, bend the gutter cover gently along the long edge. and then fit the gutter screen down into the gutter with both hands as you move down the gutter.
- Keep the mesh in the "humped shape", pushing it down and positioning it evenly. You can use a small screwdriver to poke in a hole and lift up and adjust the gutter guard roll mesh to further shape the hump if needed to a more even shape.
- The gutter covers screen should be rounded and secure just above the level of the gutter. The tension will hold it in place, making the aluminum gutter mesh more of a slightly curved surface.
- You can cut the micro mesh gutter guard into sections and do a section at a time, or continue down the gutter without cut
