I have had many Kenmore dishwashers..but this is the smallest capacity, and longest running of them all. My old one could fit 12 large dinner plates..plus many glasses and cups on the top rack. The silverware container was to the side and could hold many utensils. I knew this was smaller when buying it..but i was very unpleasantly surprised to find it could only fit 8 dinner plates at most..those being the stoneware kind, and the utensil compartment is situated that you cannot really put things into it without taking the divider off the top. The run time on the old one was 35 min for a light wash, but this takes almost an hour! I liked the dial on the old one also, telling me where i was up to in the cycle, but they ahve done away with those. It's ok..but i would rather have the older one that could fit more things and take a shorter amount if time!

I bought a portable dishwasher and it doesn't really clean my dishes all that well. I'm really disappointed in its performance!

I have bought Sears Products for years and owned dishwashers. This turned out to be sleeker than I expected and much quieter! It did come with an adapter so I was ready right away to do dishes.and am on my second load. It's like a brand new toy. I like the wheel leveling feature and it's my first one with a push-button display. Thanks Sears....

Didn't come with a faucet adapter as described in the manual. Not available at store. Had to pay an additional $30 to get one from national service/parts and wait an additional 2 weeks for it to come in the mail. Last sears purchase I'l ever make.

I love this small dishwasher.It works well.I have very small kitchen,no room for build in dishwasher.This is just perfekt keep in the corner.Not even I have to move her.Unfortunatelly I couldnt use hose for faucet,but my very handy friend fix that,and put one hose to water where is conected my washer and second hose-for drain,he put longer hose,so each time i just put hose to drain where is waste disposer and when I'm done,just roll this hose back to dishawaher.Dishes are clen...For this price....perfect!

I'm disappointed with this dishwasher. Maybe I just got a lemon but after using Kenmore dishwashers for many, many years I found that this one has some flaws. The bottom tray is very unsteady when you pull it out to load it. It tips towards the door and then you have to re-align it. The cup shelf isn't wide enough for a cup. When the cycle is over you have to remember to drain the water from the hose or you'll have a puddle on the floor. Customer Service told me to lower the connector to the floor into a pan to get all the water out. Never had to do this before. Meanwhile I'm trying to replace it. I just got a replacement and this one works much better. Dishes get clean, shelf rolls properly and I don't have to drain the hose into a pan.

I have a small kitchen and this really helped out with my family. It washes wonderfully and very convenient. Everything is working great and I've had it for four years.

We needed help. We have a small cottage with a single-bowl white enamel sink from the 20's that we did not want to replace with a shiney stainless double sink. (love the quirky old sink) But doing dishes in this 42" white elephant, which is mostly drainboard, was a challenge. The 18" portable dishwasher is the perfect match for our small kitchen. Yes it is a little noisy, but really, who cares it only runs every other day and last about 45 min to an hour depending on the setting you choose. And speaking of settings, it has more choices and features than many full size dishwashers. I have to roll it about 6 ft to hook up (hook up is a breeze). I believe it would be difficult to roll a full size portable that far. (not a lot of muscle here) Our dishes have a bit of a lip to them and therefore do not stack as well as I would like as they tend to pitch forward and take up more space. I have a few Correlle that stack in there beautifully. Everything comes out great!

Had 1 year of service call after service call, use it about every 4 or 5 days, had problems with rack, the rail the rack rides on, gasket needed to be trimmed was too big for bottom rack to clear opening to close, top rack broke nneded to be replaced, hoses and cord had to be replaced now it leaks, sears being difficult they don't want to live up to sales pitches that within 1 year of recurring problems they will replace appliances, too many stipulations on their part make it seem they will never replace any item I may sue them, I will NEVER CONSIDER SEARS FOR ANYTHING
