    I love my Kenmore French Door refrigerator!!! July 27, 2010

    This is a terrific fridge (I own Model 7834, no longer made), with lots of room and adjustable shelves.  The freezer is conveniently designed too.  I am disabled, so bending to see what's on my shelves was no longer an option; the french door, bottom freezer model was just what I needed!

    The only drawback is that the light bar (although very bright) makes it so that you can only get tall items in on the sides of the top shelf; otherwise, you need enough room to tilt the item in order to make it fit behind the light.  No complaints beyond this one.  I'm very happy!

    WORST FRIDGE EVER. July 20, 2010

    My husband and I purchased this fridge when we bought our first home, and we had to buy this model, because it was the only french door fridge that fit in the space.  I HATE this fridge.  First of all, the icemaker in the door is an awful idea, and a waste of space.  It not only takes up space where you'd like to have shelves, but it also means there isn't very much ice made in the ice maker at a time, so if we have guests over for dinner and they like more than a few cubes in their drink, the thing is empty after 3 people.  Secondly, we had to get the icemaker repaired less than a year after buying the fridge, and now the teflon on the inside of the icemaker is flaking off onto the ice and leaving silver/grey flakes all over the ice.  I love the freezer in this model, but I have to admit that I'd probably be happy with a lot of other freezers as well...not too much difference there.  Lastly, the controls on it are easy to use once you know what you're doing, but we haven't had a single person be able to figure it out on their own when they come over...which is annoying.  It should be a little more obvious than that in my opinion.  Anyway, unless you're forced into this fridge because of the specific odd space measurements that we had...DON'T BUY IT!!!!

    Beautiful fridge. The crushed stainless steel does not show fingerprints which is great when you have young kids. The only thing I would change is I wish it was Energy Star rated.

    we needed a refrigerator that was skinny enough to fit in our opening but still tall.  i was not so sold on the bottum freezer but it is great roomy.  a spot for everything.  i wish it could of been a little taller or that the filter refill was more flat so you had more room.
