    Very happy with this unit June 16, 2008

    This is a very powerful unit that cools about 1500 sf in my house without a problem. Before you get this unit, please make sure that you will be able to handle this monster. It is very heavy and does need a dedicated 230 Volt / 20A outlet close to the unit. I have installed it through the wall to replace a 15 year old 14000 BTU unit with the same dimensions. Yes it is louder than a smaller unit but it does move a lot more air and the compressor is bigger too. Overall I'm very happy with that unit.

    it will cool a couple of rooms September 13, 2009

    This is a very good unit for cooling a couple of rooms, but the blower is very loud.

    you have to turn TV UP to hear sound.The noise is the only issue I see with this unit,

    this unit has a blower that you have no problem feeling the air at 20ft. away on low.

    ( but very loud)

    I've been with Sears since college and my parents before that. Purchase the unit first for the price then the size. The warranty was what sold me esp., the in house warranty. The unit coolest my 3 room house 100% great buy.

    Thi unit is great for the garage mechanic on those hot days so we can wax and do repairs in comfort and with out the sun in our eyes, my garage is 24 by 24 feet and cools it nicely.

    Compresor shot out first year

    I purchased this A/C about three years ago, since the first day I noticed that it did not cool enough for the size of the unit. It has neves cooled as I was expexting. It sure has bit contributed to increase my electric bill. Better off with out this unit. Very noisey. HaD TO INSTALL 250/240 CONECTION.cost me $500.00. I Dont buy this product.

    I bought an 25,000 BTU Kenmore Air conditioner with 3 year warranty. I have other appliances by Sears Kenmore and have not had any trouble with them all . The yearly inspection goes well. I noticed that after installing the Air Conditioner, my kitchen which is the hottest area in my house started feeling cooler within 15 minutes. It is also energy efficient during sleep time. Now I do not mind cooking in the kitchen any longer and can focus on everything that needs to be done in that room. Thanks so much for your assistance.
