Kenmore  24'' Laundry Center w/ Electric Dryer

Not only is the noise unbearable to us but neighbors, who have lived here in this high rise building for decades without hearing a washing machine, reported loud noise from this washer and we have one ft. thick cement walls. We are sending it back.This one is **** which replaced a similar but good one.This is made more cheaply, probably in China, it has thinner metal, the door is not lined up well, lid does not stay up easily and the lint filter fits poorly. But most of all it is the loud washing agitation noise, not to mention the easy offload banging - you have to rearrange the load 3-4 times to get it just right. We paid more than other General Electric and Whirlpool models because we believed 'you get what you pay for.' Not so,

Can only use either the washer or dry at one time. Dryer does not dry. Takes forever....to do laundry and clothes did not come clean. Exchanged for a GE stack unit, it works great. Clothes are dry in record time and clothes are clean. This Kenmore does not save money.

my husband and i purchased this stackable unit because we were very limited on space (we have a small closet in our apartment). sears delivery people were very professonal and helpful. apparently the saleperson added a cord to our order that was not needed, and the delivery men were very up front in saying that it was not needed and to return it to save ourselves money. also, the saleman failed to inform us that we could not run the washer and dryer at the same time. this was a HUGE suprise and disappointment. there was nothing i could do because of the power supply, so i just accepted it. we used the unit right away and washed and dried the first load of laundry beautifully. i was stoked!

however, the next day, we threw in load #2. the washer filled up and then just stopped working. we tried everything and called the support center to no avail. i do have to say that sears handled the situation professionally, and offered us a new one. however, after this experience, we just returned the unit and are planning on purchasing compact front load machines. despite sears attempt to make the situation better, i have to give the product one star because it was such a disappointment.

The first machine was exchanged because it was missing the lid latch, and the leveling legs kept slipping. The replacement came the next day with the lid latch; it stays level, and does not wobble at all. This machine was not available in any local stores, so I was taking a risk in ordering it sight unseen. But it is attractive, and the washer and dryer are have larger capacities than i thought they would. A major concern was that i only have one 110V outlet. The dryer certainly gets hot enough, and i don't mind not being able to wash and dry at the same time. I split a washer load into smaller loads for the dryer sometimes, but that doesn't bother me. It has solved my space and laundry issues beautifully, and i hope it will last for many, many years.

I love this washer/dryer combo. This is the second one of this type that I've had in my condo and the first one lasted almost 10 years! There are several options for wash temperatures, including a gentle and a soak cycle. The heavy duty cycle only takes about 20 minutes. The dryer portion also has multiple options and is fast, quiet and efficient. It fits very nicely into the space I had, and because it has only one electrical connection, I didn't have to spend more money hiring someone to hook it up! Highly recommend if you are looking for a stackable unit!

During the spin cycle the tub wobbles uncontrollably. Apparently it's a standard issue with these machines. You put any clothing that holds a lot of water like jeans or a towel it will wobble, thump,and bang really loudly. I'm wondering how much longer the bearings will hold up until they're fried. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a stacked unit.

I'm new to the Sears family, And let me tell you I have been out looking for a washer and dryer.And i shop around and when i went to Sears it was a good prices and the salesperson sold me on the stack-able . I have enjoy Sears for the last 2months (new to the area and Sears stores) I enjoy the salespeople each and everyone of them are helpful . I end up going home after i receive my Sears Credit Card and cut up my Nebraska Furniture Mart card and my ******** credit card, Sears has everything that i need and looking, I enjoy so much I stop working at my part time job at ******* and put in my application . You have a customer or LIFE

The service was fast, the sales rep helped me over the net with dimension's, so I was totally ready and satisfied with the purchase.

Just bought it in late october 2009. The washer makes a very loud noise on the wash agitation steps. The motor noise is disturbing. We had this same model 15 years ago and it was quieter. Also, this unit gets out of balance easier on the spin cycle than the older but same model. I believe they have used cheaper lower gauge springs in the new model.

The dryer takes longer to dry and makes a single clump sound per turn of the drum.

We are limited in choices because of the small closet we have in the condo.

Sears delivery and installation was flawless.  Washer/dryer is perfect for a small space.  I would highly recommend.
