    This has been a horrible year for family members with allergies. So we decided we had to get an airfilter this year. I did a lot of research on the internet and polling friends. This is the one that was recommended over and over again. It works great and the filters are easy to change.

    I did a lot of research before buying an air purifier and I am glad I did... and that I chose this one. I've had it for years now (I think since 2004?) and it is going strong. Changing the filters is ridiculously easy and it tells you when to do it, so no need to bother with that. Noisewise it is perfect. I find it has nearly no "mechanical" noise, but what sound it does make is a whoosh of air that's no worse than a fan or a/c (quieter than my a/c for sure). I'm supersensitive to noises so I find it's actually helpful because it provides a pleasant blanket of white noise over the little things that would normally drive me nuts or keep me awake. When you change the pre-filter the first time you'll see why this is worth the cost. I couldn't believe the thick layer on it. Scary to think it all came out of my air! I have bad allergies/asthma, and one of my cats has asthma too. I got the unit to see if we could control his symptoms with it- and 4 years later I almost forget we considered medication. He is fine. So yes... this can keep up with cat hair, cat litter, you name it. There are cheaper options to purchase, and to maintain, but I would not trade this in except if I move to a larger place. This one unit is managing a large studio apt very well. There may be a higher cost for the filters, but considering what I saved on vet bills alone, it has more than made up for it! I would absolutely recommend this.

    I have used this air purifier for over a year and I am very happy with its performance. The filter change indicator lights are a useful feature. The HEPA filter I am using now has lasted over a year (non-smoking household) and the carbon pre-filter can be vacuumed to prolong its life. It is also pretty quiet.

    I purchaced two of these units for my large home with multiple pets. The air quality has markedly improved, and I don't need to dust nearly as often! I have had the air cleaners now for almost 4 months, and have just changed the first pre-filter. It definately needed to be changed - I was impressed by the amount of fine dust the filter held. I would reccommend this product. (It was reccommended to me by "the" consumer guide.)
