    Since I read other's reviews when searching I'll leave my 2 cents. I've had this range about a month; it is my first ceramic cooktop. I'm glad I selected one with the keep warm burner as low on the other burners is much to high to keep something like a sauce from scorching. The burners click on and off and keep a very steady temerature I fried homemade donuts the other day and once I got the oil up to the correct temperature the burner regulated itself and held at a constant temp according to my deep fry termometer. Haven't had any real messy boil overs or anything yet, but so far cooktop is a cinch to clean. The hidden element makes the oven easy to clean had a lasagne bubble over a bit and when oven was cool I was able to wipe most of it out with ease. Oven temp seems a bit hot I adjust down about 10 degrees, but very spacious I can get 2 cookie sheets13x15 lengthwise under the broiler which with the choice of hi or low broil is a great feature too. Controls are easy to use and features like the delay bake were very easy to program didn't have to refer to the manual more than one time. cons: storage drawer is small and flimsy

    Kenmore range - Outside gets burning hot EXTREME DANGER August 07, 2009

    Safety is key for me especially that I have a child. I had the Kenmore range for a week and I am returning today. The outside of the range gets extremenly hot just minutes after having the oven on, it is like touching a hot iron. Kenmore should recall this product. It is extremely dangerous.

    The Kenmore Electric Range I purchased had the features I wanted. This included digital oven temperature gauge, larger oven, and 5th burner.  With the excellent help I received for the sales person at the store I was able to view a similar range on the floor to the one I had found on the sears website. 

    The range I found on Sears Website was greatly discounted but the website indicated that it was out of stock. The sales person made a special effort to determine if the item could still be purchased and after finding that one was available sure to lock in the sale.

    This range is everything I was looking for and at a discounted price I could afford.

    5 burners,Easily cleans

    The oven takes a bit to warm up, this is due to the radiant heat feature. It bakes great. Everything is cooked thoroughly, evenly with no burning.  The stove top works well and is easy to clean.  Other reviews contidict this but I disagree. Even when something boils over just let the stovetop cool and us the recommended cleaning compound.

    Hard to clean stove top

    I bought a home that came with Kenmore Electric Range oven.  At first I was very pleased with the stove top.  I loved how fast it would heat up and boil water and cook food.  But then as time went on and the stove got more use it was hard to keep it clean.  If food spilled on the burners while they were hot, it would immediately become burnt on.  Try to clean it up after the stove top cooled down was next to impossible.  I tried various methods and cleaners and nothing would completely get rid of the mess.  There always seems to be a mark where food has been that I can not seem to get rid of.  I wish sometimes I still had a older style stove top with the removable / replaceable drip pans to keep my range looking clean.

    After 4 years, main board went bad. Cost to repair is more than 50% of cost of unit. Sears has done it to me again! I should learn to stay out of there!
