    Very impressed with the quality of this gas stove especially the middle burner that I used for canning this fall.

    Wished I would have had this stove when I started canning this spring.

    Initial burner quality

    We've had our range almost ten months, and, for the most part, we've been very happy with it.  Initially we had a problem with the four main burners:  the quality of the castings was poor.  Two of the burners could not be adjusted to burn cleanly, and one of them would not light correctly, as the port that was supposed to direct gas to the igniter was completely closed.  The service technician ordered a complete new set of burners, and it took me about 2 minutes to install them myself after they arrived(a simple task, just lift the original castings up, and set the new ones in position.).  The new burners are much better, operate correctly, though one has a slight "flutter", that I'm planning to adjust myself, after having watched the technician play with the originals, and I have the necessary tools (It's been months, and I haven't gotten to it, as it's really minor.). 

    It took a little getting used to the burner controls, as the first position, after ignition, is high, which is the reverse of the range this one replaced.  We also haven't really been pleased with the center "griddle" burner, but we haven't used it much, and it probably would just take some getting used to how it heats.  We purchased a cast iron griddle to place over it, and my wife has used it a couple of times; the heating is not very uniform, but my wife thinks as she uses it more she'll figure out how to make best use of it. 

    The operation of the oven has been flawless, and baking and broiling operations have been as we hoped.
