    The Kenmore Range Hood is quiet and powerful. August 27, 2010

    We needed to replace our old range hood and this one was the perfect color and size.  We were so afraid we would not be able to find the color we needed. 

    When we first turned it on, I thought it was not working.  The old one was so much noiser.  This one is quiet and powerful. 

    I'm so glad we made this purchase.

    A Little Loud December 13, 2008

    Overall the hood is fine. The light fixture is well arranged to provide maximum light to the area. The hood looks nice and the ontrols are simple. The only problem I have is that the fan is noisy, even on low. For the price it is a good deal, but if you are looking for quiet, you might want to spend a little more.

    Nice product, crisp white color with 2 fan speeds and lighting. Inexpensive unit, does job well and it looks much more expensive.

    30" range hood, ductless, in black. Ordering was seemless. Ordered on-line and picked up at the store. Great, quick service. Product works great. The easiest project I have ever completed on my own. Plain instructions to install and to hook up the electrical portion. Brings back a little spice to the kitchen. Now I got to get a black Kenmore 30" gas range.

    Quiet

    We needed to replace our old range hood and this one was the perfect color and size.  We were so afraid we would not be able to find the color we needed.

     Pros:

    Good quality and well built for this low price (less than 40 bucks with shipping).

    Light weight.

    Easy installation on a ductless (ventless) setting.

    Removable, replaceable filter.

    Could be used in a ducted system (you will need a metal cutter to make a hole in the back or top of the unit)

     

    Cons:

    The Item shown (Broan) is a different model than the actual product (Kenmore).

    The manual mentioned removable plates but this unit does not have the removable plates to connect to a ducted setting, if you decide to change to a ducted setting later.

    There is no mention about the height of the unit (6 in.)

    The holes to insert the screws are too wide.

    The light bulb cover is very cheap and it will crack eventually. The heat from the range or the light bulb will cook the plastic.
