    Attractive & A Great Value to Boot... February 09, 2009

    This hood is so attractive and functional it makes our kitchen look much more professional. On it's lowest speed it is barely a whisper, on its highest it moves alot of air--and presumably cooking odor-- right of the kitchen. I LOVE the halogen lighting which is bright and crisp...it not only illuminates the cooktop perfectly but it creates a wonderful glow throughout the room. Plus it was a great price/value for the money. Nice quality stainless steel body has a nice heft, but is not a total monster to install. The only drawback is the instruction manual is a little thin (but then most people don't read them anyway). I would definitely consider this hood for your kitchen.

    seamless corners? i dont think so. April 10, 2010

    based on the description, this unit has 'seamless corners'.

    unfortunately, i ordered it online, picked it up, and after my contractor installed it, i realized that the corners were not even close to seamless.  there is a joint running from the bottom to top on both corners.

    buyer beware.

    based on the description, this unit has 'seamless corners'.

    Attractive,Efficient

    Love this hood.  I was originally looking for a Broan but this won!!!  It is attractive and functional On it's lowest speed it is barely a whisper, on its highest it moves alot of air.  My favorite feature is the heat lamps which help to keep food warm.  The removable filters are also a nice touch and help to keep everything clean!

    I'd admired this hood in the Sears appliance department for several years. Then one day I went in and it had been replaced with a contempory glass thing with a chimney?! Yuk!! Who wants to stand on a ladder to clean cobwebs around that thing. I do some canning and make jellies and we eat lots of seafood in south Louisiana, so good ventilation is essential. I REALLY like the extra light it provides while canning or making a roux. The 500CFM air displacement is an absolute necessity! It's easy to clean. However I find that fingerprints show easily on the stainless. Maybe you'd consider marketing a textured finish like refrigrators have & adding a night light feature. Then it would be absolutely perfect!!
