    Poorly handled by Sears along the way

    Yesterday we came home in the early evening to find our 20 year old water heater had started to leak (yes, I know 20 years is too long, but time flies). I looked online at ********** (in-store pickup 5-7 days) and ****** (nothing). Sears had reasonably priced Kenmore units, and in stock. So I ordered an up-scale water heater, and we picked it up today. I was pleased to find it had manual pilot electronic ignition (like lighting a gas grill), and good specs. One note, the unit was dented, but luckily that wasn't deep enough to damage the tank. I've had that problem with Sears before - had to return a microwave because it had a corner crumpled before it was even packaged. But when it's something like a water heater, you don't want to, or have time to, drag it back to the store. At least in this case Sears had what I needed, and the ********** and ****** did not.
