Kenmore  5-Burner Gas Grill with Ceramic Searing and Rotisserie Burners - Red

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I bought this for my husband for Christmas 2011. We've had it less than 1 1/2 years, and the flame diffusers have completely rusted through and the bottom has rusted out. It has rarely been uncovered, and we live in KS-- not a salty air, humid environment that inspires rust like this. By the time we pay for replacement items, we might as well buy a new grill. Next grill will NOT be a Kenmore.

I have owned this grill for over a year and read the negative comments back then but i took the plunge anyways.The truth is drip pan is too close (bad design)and fires erupt quickly ,the flame tamers rust through in 6 months and cost 40 a piece.Its a pretty grill but its not worth the money due to many flare ups and cleaning nightmare.Just avoid it and save your money unless you dont mind having low expectations and grill life under two years!

This is a nice grill overall. It looks nice, and it grills well. However, after a year of use, it rusts out and then is no longer useable. The plates that cover the burners are completely rusted to where the flames now come up directly onto the food. The pins that hold the burners in place are all rusted and have broken off so the burners flop around freely inside the grill. This WAS an expensive grill and I bought it off the advice from the sales person at Sears. I would never listen to him again as the grill now scorches all food and has become a fire hazard.

just got it hooked up .was gonna start cooking for tomorrow [THANKSGIVING] the main burner **** came off in my hand.it had been broken before and then super glued and broke when i tried to turn it on to test.I am a VERY unhappy camper at this time and I fully expect you to make it right.

I have had this now for just under 3 years. The gas input gets spider webs all the time and the grill needs about an hour or so to take apart everything that is needed to get to the spiderwebs. The knobs are very hard to use anymore and hardly turn at all. Every part of the grill that can rust, has. It is kept in a covered gazebo so I am not sure what else I could do to help this. The burner covers actually rusted in half. Sears support for this is totally useless. Almost nothing is still covered after less than 3 years and the few things that are sears REQUIRES you to pay $100 plus for a "service" call to see what is wrong (plus the cost of the repair). NO, they will not let you bring it into a Sears store or even mail the defective parts. Kenmore may make some decent things, grills are NOT one of them. SAVE YOUR MONEY! I am done putting any money at all into this after just spending $120 to replace the 5 burner covers. STAY AWAY!

I had this grill for a month and the battery for the electric start was dead. Put a new battery and it was dead the next week... I'm a little Disappointed!This is the most Expensive grill we have ever Purchase.The last time some thing like this happened it was a $95.00 grill... Disappointed!!!

Prone to incredible flare ups and fires. The design flaw is a shallow flat drip pan that does not allow grease to properly run off (to the drip pan collector) and that is located too close to the burners. Fires can occur when the drip pan ignites, even when the drip pan has just been degreased/cleaned. I also believe that the grill design allows too much air is allowed into the chamber and there is no way to regulate it. I think this grill is dangerous, however, the worst accidents we have had are a few ruined meals. I think Sears should recall this grill or issue its customers newly and properly designed drip pans. I see no practical way of regulating the air flow with this grill though.

I used ot several times, and have no complaints. The searing burner works great locking in the juices of the meat. Had two parties with over 25 people, and had the 27 burgers & 25 dogs cooked in about 20-25 min. The last grill I purchased had cast iron grills, and steel burners. The grills would always get rusty. The burners compleatly rusted out. I purchased this because its all stainless steel and should never rust out. It also has a roll out tray for the LP tank. Because of this feature it takes only seconds to install tank

Spent several days looking for a new grill. Our 10yr old Kenmore 3-burner with cast iron burners was due for upgrading. This was the perfect replacement. Took about an hour to assemble. Solid, easy to move with the larger 3in wheels. Best part of the assemply, is they simplied it, using the same size screw for 100% of all major assembly and only 3 different screws for the side burner, attaching the battery pack, and the power-pack for the lights. So far, heats up quickly and works quite well. I was a little skepticle on the stainless steel burners as I have always used grills with cast iron, but cook the same. Since this grill is much larger than the old one, need to upgrade my rotissierie and try some cornish hens. Heat control and distribution works very well. My first dinner of pork shish-ka-bobs came out awesome! I like the built-in halogen lights will be quite handy come late fall when your cooking in the dark. For those who tag as a con - need electric - Well DUH! - I wouldn't call that a con, as you picked it for the lights, othewise you would have bought the model without the lights. The ignitors are battery powered. Another feature I like, is the LP tank tray. It slides out and you just drop the tank in, slide back in, connect hose. Very easy, eliminates killing your back trying to lift the tank and set in the grill, the the sales person completely missed showing me that feature.

Okay, so I purchased this item when it first came out last year. I couldnt be more dissapppppppppointed in a Kenmore. I paid the $799.00 price tag hoping it would last for years to come. I have had nothing but problems with the grill. The screws  that connect the wheels are always coming out (I have lost a few and I am still looking for the right screws to fix the wheels.) I work in the culinary field, and I tell you after all the problems I have had I would never recommend a Kenmore to anyone. The brand name is relying on what they used to be.
