    The Kenmore 5 burner grill has been an enjoyable experience. April 11, 2011

    I did a lot of research before buying the Kenmore grill. It came down to price and other consumer reviews. It was easy, but not quick to put together. It took me about 3 hrs. to assemble it by myself. I have enjoyed it and hope to have it for many backyard grills to come.

    Typical Chinese Product-Looks good, Poor Quality May 01, 2011

    Nice looking grill (from a distance .Up close, it is a typical Chinese piece of of junk. The sheet metal is very thin and warps with heat. The grates warped on the first use. The lid is very thin and is just riveted to a hinge piece, so it leaks and smokes and gets the outside dirty. The infra-red sear burner is good and actually worked quite well. I really don't believe it is quality enough to last, but I have only owned it for 2 months now.

    This is the best grill we have ever owned. It cleans up easily, cooks good, and its easy to operate. I like the features it offers with the multiple burner grill, table top space, and the ability to add a rotisserie.

    We ordered this Gas Grill via the internet and picked it up at the store 20 minutes later. They came out with a box and it was all torn up. I hate seeing a box that badly damaged. I took the grill home and started the assembly. Well, half way through I found that parts were missing. So, I called Sears and returned it for a new one. The only problem was, the person I talked to on the phone left for the day knowing I was going to be down in 20 minutes. She did not pass along any information to anybody. So, I finally asked for the manager to get it all straightened out and he replaced it with no problems. I just don't understand that hassle, the item was missing parts, give us a new one. This unit does not have equal distribution of gas. Not all burners will heat up the same. This is a problem.

    The Kenmore 5-burner gas grill with the searing burner is very nice. We grilled some thick steaks on the searing burner and they turned out great! It has a large cooking surface so the whole meal could be grilled. Not all 5 burners have to be used at the same time, so if you needed a small grill from time to time, you could use just one or two of the burners on those occasions.

    The stainless steel surface is easy to clean. The grill looks very professional and the end prep surfaces are a good size. The grill sits on four rollers so it's easy to move in any direction.

    I am sorry that you did not include directions and reciepts on using the Infrared Burner. I can not recommend this grill to somone unless they all ready know how to use this type of burner.  I had to go and find directions and reciepts on the internet.  I did e-mail Sears customer service about this problem and they did nothing.  They said they would take it under advisement.

    With instructions from Char Broil  on how to use and this infrared burner I am very happy.
