    Kenmore 50 Pint Dehumidifier is very effective. November 10, 2010

    We finally decided to add a dehumidifier to our basement level.  This model was a middle-of-the-road model and has performed very well for us.  I guess we didn't realize how much moisture we had on our lower level.  It is fairly quiet and very easy to use.  I would definitely recommend this Kenmore Dehumidifier.

    Kenmore 50 pint dehumidifier will be returned April 20, 2011

    I will be returning this unit. I don't know if I have a lemon, or this is how it runs. It turns on and off constantly. The fan will be running on high one second then down to low and then back up again. It is very loud. The bucket it very difficult to remove from the unit. It fills too much and spills easily when trying to empty it.

    It does the job very well, but "quiet" is not a word I would use to describe it. I couldn't say what the official decibel measurment is, but even after following the troubleshooting tip of making sure it was on a level surface we had to speak up to hear ourselves. Forget about watching a tv show at a comfortable level. If you don't mind the noise it does a great job.

    This product SUCKS. Not only is it so loud that it can be heard in any part of the house, the bucket has always been difficult to take out and put back. Not it is just permanently stuck - with a full tank of water in it. Do yourself a favor and don't buy Kenmore!!!!!!

    I keep in set on 45 in my basement and it seems to run a lot. I empty it twice a day so it won't be too heavy. It's easy to empty and simple to run. Very satisfied so far. Only had it running a week.

    I have been looking for a quiet dehumidifier because, the location is under two bedrooms. This Kenmore product is perfect. We brought it home, plugged it up and oh my goodness, was I impressed. It immediately pulled the moisture from the air and was whisper quiet. Thank you Sears for this wonderful product! It's a quality product and good looking too!
