    Even after reading the manual to determine what kinds of clothing were meant by the cycle names "casual", "bulky", and "heavy duty" and sorting my laundry appropriately, I still find that the dryer doesn't dry those clothes completely. I'm not talking about having the t-shirts dry but the pants damp, because I don't (can't) sort that way when using this machine. I'm talking about drying a load of lightweight t-shirts on the "casual" setting and having every item damp when the cycle was over. The auto settings are fairly inflexible compared to my old Kenmore dryer; you can't enter extra time or a higher heat, you can only alter the dryness sensor setting: less, normal, more. So I find myself either drying every load on the setting above the one the manual says I should use, or simply using timed dry and choosing my heat setting. Did I need an on-board computer for that? While I'm complaining, I also want to echo other reviewers' comments about the buzzer. My laundry equipment is in the basement. I could hear my old Kenmore on the first floor - heck, if the house was quiet I could hear it on the second floor, and if I was right next to it when it went off I'd jump out of my skin. I can't hear this one upstairs at all.

    When i was looking for a dryer this one had everything i had wanted in a dryer ,and it works very well,dries everything faster than i had hoped and am very happy with this selection

    We had great luck with our last Kenmore dryer, so we chose another Kenmore when we needed a new dryer. It has great capacity, and the clothes get dried just fine. Unfortunately the beeper on this model just isn't loud enough... our laundry is on the first floor, and I have problems hearing it when I am in the next room. The off/low/high sensor actually makes a softer sound when it is on "high" then it does on "low". We decided to paid extra to step up to this model because it had the high/low volume, but it was not at all worth it. Really disappointed. :(
