      Quality Grill, Affordable Price May 14, 2007

      I purchased this grill to replace another Kenmore grill I received as a wedding gift 14 years ago. I compared to similar Weber and Weber/Ducane grills and found this Kenmore to be extremely similar. In fact, SO similar that I would not be surprised if someone told me that they were all manufactured by the same company. The primary difference I noticed was price - while on sale, this Kenmore was $100 less expensive than a similar Weber style. I purchased at SEARS.COM and was a little surprised by the appearance of the grill when I picked it up at my local SEARS store. The picture on the web site did not clearly show that the sides and back of the grill base, side burner, and side workspace were not stainless steel but powder coat finished black. Still looks great, but not what I anticipated.

      If your grill gets to hot July 27, 2007

      The reason for the lower review is the plastic nobs.As I read from other reviewer: Plastic nobs, Mine to melted the first time I used the grill. The sears repairman did come out. There are 2 rubber bumpers on the front cornes of the grill lid that he removed. They just pop out. He said this was a new feature, it allows heat to escape out of the front, causing the handle and nobs to over heat. After he removed them, it seems to stay cool. I did have sears put the grill together. I am glad I did. The repair man did order me new nobs, but they all did not come in and now they are back ordered. I have not been happy with sears because I have had trouble getting these replacement parts. I thought that getting a sears grill would be a good idea because I thought it would be easier to get replacement parts if I needed them. Now I am not so sure. As for the rest of the grill, If you follow directions, clean up is easy. The grill seems to cook food quite well. Just remember to empty the grease tray each time you cook. Hope this help some of you out.

      Parts are delecate.

      This is an ok grill. It looked so nice when I got it and than the first time i used it the knobs melted, they were made of plastic. Other than that it works great just doesn't look as nice anymore. We do love our steaks so it does get a work out. They just need to do something about the plastic knobs.

      My Started button an other lower cmponents needed replaces which cost $400.00 if I would have had to pay for repairs. But I had extended protection plan.  I even cover my grill after use and it still got rain in it.

      My girlfriend bought me this grill for my birthday on 8/13/07, i have used it many times and i am totally happy with it. I''ve been so excited to use it i even cooked a frozen pizza on it. I would recomend this grill to anyone who loves grilling and likes the extra cooking space.
