    excellent cleaning, very durable and easy to operate! July 24, 2010

    I have had this vacume for more than 3 years and it is still going strong.  I clean a few homes plus my own and this is the only vacume I will use even if they have one.  Not one of them has the Kenmore vacume.  The filters and bags and replacement attachments are very affordable.  I love the way this cleans and how easy it is to use.  I do not like the uprights because the base is too heavy to drag around and does not have the 360 swivel.

    Progressive Canister-Design is not user friendly,moron designer! May 01, 2010

    I own a Progressive Canister by Kenmore.  My main comment about this item is that a moron designed it.  This vacuum is simply designed to **** people off.  First the retractable cord is almost underneath the vacuum.  The cord is of cheap quality and does not go into the retractor without major effort on the user's part.  The lid/cover that stores the attachments does not open or close without getting stuck and must be forced to do both and will eventually break.  Where the hose attaches to the canister, it is on a 360 degree swivel.  It would be nice but, it swivels over the attachment lid/cover and you can't open the attachment cover until you move the hose.  When moving the vacuum around you must pull it by the hose, it is the only way to pull it around.  This will eventually cause the hose to break down and have to be replaced.  Where the hose attaches to the power wand it's like a gun.  It is too heavy and VERY clumsy. 

    I have owned Kenmore vacuums most of my life.  This model is a huge disappointment.  It is definitely not worth the money that it will cost you.  The vacuum itself works well to vacuum but, too much effort needs to be used to get to the point to vacuum.

    I love that the on/off switch is always at my fingertip. No more trying to find it with my foot somewhere underneath like other cleaners. It has excellent suction and I especially like the small motorized attachment for furniture. With two cats, it is great for removing hair. A negative about this machine is that all of the parts do not fit in the compartments. If the small brush is not left on the wand, there is no room inside the vacuum. I also love the red color!

    We purchase this vacuum after using a upright "The Boss" that we could not stand. It is very good on carpet and also does a good job on our hardwood floors. Cord is and nice length and is not a heavy vacuum to carry up and down stairs.

    very durable
