    AWESOME vacuum January 03, 2012

    this is a really great vacuum, especially for the price! it has great suction and the bagless system is so easy to empty. i returned a cheap eureka because it didn't suit my needs. i have mostly hardwood floors and 11 cats to clean up after! kenmore vacuums are always the best!

    I am shocked by all of the positive reviews. Not only is the suction of this vacuum very poor, there is no beater brush, which resulted in poor performance overall on both my carpeted and un-carpeted floors. On my carpet, it wouldn't even vacuum up little bits of lint laying on top of the carpet, and when I used the extension wand and lint brush attachment, it didn't suck up all of the dust, and scratched my wood molding. In addition, the carpet brush is supposed to protect against scratches but scratched the wood on the side of my stairs when I tried to vacuum them. The vacuum is made of flimsy materials, and the hose feels like it could be very easily crushed. The only positive thing I can say about the vacuum is that it is lightweight, and was easy to move around. Even though I got it for a little more than half price, I will be returning it.

    I LOVE this little guy....I got it on a half price deal. It is fantastic, lightweight but powerful...and NO BAG! I have a much more expensive Kenmore canister, beater bar and all...but I prefer to use this one. So glad I bought it.

    I purchased this vacuum to use on my hardwood and tile floors. I had previously purchased another brand, which was cheaply made, and returned it. This Kenmore feels sturdy and durable. I love that the wand is metal, the hose feels very durable, and the suction is very good. It works great on my hardwood and tile, but only fair on my carpet. I have a different vacuum for the carpet, so this doesnt concern me too much. If your buying this to vacuum your carpet only, you might be a bit disappointed. Also, the cord is retractable and not overy long. It doesnt bother me too much, but it is something you might want to coinsider.

    This vac is good on hard floors. Do not purchase if you are only using it for carpet as it does not have the brush roller on the bottom. I will be returning this item and buying a another vac.
