    I don't understand the 2 reviews that complain about the flow. This filter is for drinking water, not showers/whole house. If you run more water through than it's designed for, it won't filter out the gook. For drinking water it works just fine.

    This cartridge takes out all kinds of chemicals, and is competitively priced. We use it in the Kenmore dual undersink drinking water housing, along with a lead/cysts/taste/odor cartridge, and that makes for pretty darn clean water. (It's not clear to me why the dual undersink housing recommends a taste/odor along with a lead/cysts/taste/odor cartridge, when you can cover the spectrum better with this one.) I wish it would last longer than 500 gallons, but it's not to expensive to replace, so overall I think it's a good deal.

    I found by drilling 1/4 inch holes around the top of the filter, where the pin hole is, greatly increases the pressure, to the sinks and shower. without doing this, the pressure is greatly reduced. But by drilling the holes, it does not seem to decrease the performance, by too much.

    This filter repalced the filter for my unit. It does the same thing my old filter did except the new one cuts the water pressure at the sink to about 30%. What a lousy trade-off
