    Kenmore Cleanscape pleased with it amazingly quiet February 02, 2011

    I purchased this vacuum after my husband tried "to fix" my other one. I decided to try out how quiet it really is and vacuumed around a sleeping baby who hates the sound of the vacuum to begin with. He did not even flinch!! After vacuuming a small section of my carpet, I realized how much dust was left behind from my previous vacuum. It was nice to see footprints in my old carpet. I vacuumed my tile floor and where I thought I had to mop it was clean again. I am impressed. The front exhaust worried me, but it did not effect the furballs on the floor at all like I thought it might. I love the size of the canister, I can do my entire living room without emptying it. (not something I was able to do with the old one) I find the vacuum as heavy as my other one so that was not an issue to me but to some, I think it could be heavy. The only thing I truly miss is the long hose of my other one. This one is adequate but could be longer. The stair brush is good but you have to keep cleaning it out if you have long haired dogs. On my stairs without dog hair it worked great. The other thing that is not convenient is that you have to order the belts from sears online. As for longevity I will have to post again as this vacuum is still new to me. After reading many reviews on all the vacuums out there, I thought I would never be able to find a vacuum, as I am very picky about what I want. I am pleased with the Cleanscape so far.

    great at first.... then no suction!!! March 19, 2010

    I bought this vacuum May of 2009. On my regular carpets it worked great, on the hardwood floors even with the brush roller off and it set to bare floors the dirt just got pushed around the room. We have 2 large area rugs and a dog that loves to sleep & play on them when I used the vacuum on them the first time it just pushed the dog hair into little lines all around the rug I had to go back with the small hand brush and revacuum the whole area. Then just a few days ago no suction!!! I made sure all the compartments were clean & the filters were changed... checked the hoses & tubes for blockage and found nothing... called for the warranty information and emailed and I still haven't recieved anything... they are probably waiting untill May to help so they don't have to cover anything... what a crock......

    I purchased this vacuum to keep in my motor home and I haven't been disappointed. I love that is one piece and fairly compact compared to my house vacuum. The suction is great and I'm always surprised at just how much dirt I get out of my carpet even when we don't wear shoes inside! Also, it's very quiet.

    Picked it up for $115 on sale and thats a great deal. Plenty of power, got dog hair out of the carpet no problem, actually filled the canioster fairly quickly with all the dog hair. So works great for that. One downside is it is a little difficult to use on stairs, but other than that, a great buy.

    Bought this about 9 months ago...worked great at first, but around six months it started breaking down....look for a better product that can last longer than six months....
