    Counter Depth is the way to go... September 16, 2009

    I got this refridgerator about 3 months ago and have had zero problems. It doesnt kick on very much, which means its well insulated. I also LOVE the bright light inside. We have a kitchen aid in another house and, while you can tell its a little better made, it was not near the value of this unit.

    We bought our side by side 4 years ago and so far, we replaced the ice maker once already and it seems we need to replace it again because it won't produce ice again.  The last Kenmore we bought was the same thing, the last one before that, and so on..we can count on replacing the ice maker after 2 years of owning the Kenmore ref. & freezer.  What is going on with Kenmore refrigerators?

    We bought this fridge in march of last year, after it was installed I tried to put the bins on the door and one of them just broke in my hands. it was under one year warranty and it was replaced for free.I didn't try to take them out and clean them again. but one year after I look at them and they are all cracked on the side and one is broken and if I want to replace them We have to pay out of our pocket.

    The fridge and the freezer are very small, thank goodness we have kept our 20 years old GE which I never had a problem with in the Basament.

    The Icemaker stops on it own when a little ice cube get stock there and ofcourse We find out when we have guest over and we try to get some ice only to discover that there is no more left there and we have to stick our hand in and get that piece out and wait for 4 hours to get ice agian.

    in the summer the freezer temprature goes up by it self and that means the freezer is not well insolated.

    over all I wouldn't recommend this item.
