    Purchased this online as a stainless steel elite series; returned it before it got in the house as it is a stainless look and not stainless steel. Would not match the other stainless steel Elite appliances we purchased.

    This Side by Side holds more food than even 3 year older refrigerators of the same cubic footage.

    It cools and freezes perfectly.

    Ice cubes and chips along with the water in the door. Dispenser is tall enough to put those tall take along cups under with ease.

    It's lit up like an airport. You can see  exactly what you are getting with the led lights used in the interior. You could almost land a jet it's so bright.

    Unlike old side by sides, you can put a frozen pizza flat with room to spare in this one.

    The only thing close to a con would be training everyone to hold a cup close up to the icemaker on the outside.  I love my Kenmore Elite.

    Pros:
    Wonderful organization

    Sears delivered and installed this sleek stainless steel side-by-side in our newly constructed home three months ago.  I love everything about it.  The touchpad features on the door are unique.  We use the ice/water dispenser several times daily even though I never thought I wanted such a feature!  The pull out bins in the freezer compartment are very nice and the spacing of shelving and door inserts maximize storage capacity.  I am able to keep produce and other perishable food for 2-3 weeks longer than in any other previous refrigerator I have owned. Cleaning the stainless front is as simple as using a clean wet dishrag.  No sprays and polishes needed as in the past!   I highly recommend this appliance to everyone.  It looks beautiful in my kitchen along with the other Kenmore Elite line of appliances.  My only wish is that I had purchased the 29 cu ft size for more storage.  Also bought the 5 year service plan.

    I initially purchased a Kenmore side by side Item 5103 and was not really pleased with the space, icemaker and overall look.  I exchanged it for the Elite 5107 and I could not be happier.  It is so spacious inside and the lighting in both the refrigerator and freezer size is great.  Also, in this model the icemaker does not take up valuable freezer space as the component is housed in the door which is a magnificent feature.  Delivery was prompt and professional and the exchange was handled without hassle.
