Grill works great. searing element and burners work well. Cover does not work well and water gets into the cabinate below as a result.

First grill owned with searing burner. I like very much. Grates are thick no warpage, lid

single piece construction heavy duty. Built in lights are nice.  Sliding tray for propane

bottle.

Bought this after  LONG period of evaluation.  I was hesitant at first because it doesn't have the cache of other name brands, one of which I currently own and use.

However, I examined the unit at the Sears store, and was very pleased with the construction, design, and features.  Although my wife disagreed, I purchased it for the cottage up North.

First the quality of the unit is extraordianry. Every thing fit and worked prefectly.  Fit and finish of the unit was excellent, and it looks really sharp on our deck.  BTW - it is very sturdy, and as a consequence, heavy.  This is not a grill that you will want to move around much (although it has great wheels).  The cover is a tight fit, b ut that assures it won't blow off in a strom.  You have to put it one gently and wiggle it to get it right.  But it is worth the effort as it protects completly.

The features I like on the the grill are:

1)  Roller tray to hold the gas cylinder - boy is that nice!

2)  Even heat and searing burner - PERFECT steaks

3) Rotisserie (again - why?) - we did a pork roast on it for 20 people and thanks to the searing burner for the rotisserie, and it was perfect.

4) Storage under unit for accessories including full set of tools and rotisserie.

The first cooking we did on it was a welcome to the lake party for 20+ people.  Using the rotisserie, it was sumputious - perfectly seared on the outside, and succulant and moist on the inside.  Amazed our friends (and me).  Second time was burgers and ribs.  Again, just perfect - this was 16 burgers, 2 slabs, 10 earsw of corn, and squash - pulled the corn to get teh burgers on).  Again, perfect.

The unit has very even heat across all burners.  The searing burner is really awesome.  But the icing is a tray between the burners that collects the drippings, and flairs them up to asside in the flavoring of the meat.  This is a touch of genius, and really works.

Asthetically, I find it sturdy and tough looking, and the angularity of the base gives it a tough, hunkered look that matches it perfromance.  Lid is top notch, and although the side areas are small, they are sufficient to halo all I need and the paltter to put stuff on.

Least you think I am overly kind, I have a Wxxxx which is a marginal POS.  Could cook one hot dog evenly, more or less a crowd.  I spoke with manny people, and sepnt a lot of time looking.  This effort, coupled witht he strong reviews of this specific unit gave it a decieded edag.

I really like the way this grill looks and the way it cooks so far.  The searing burners and rotisserie are great features. The grill adds a lot of class to my modest back yard with it;s brillian stainless top and nice brown craftsman style base.  Most people that see it are impressed and mantion they've seen nothing like it before. That's the reaction I was going for. 

What I don't like are the areas of rust that I am seeing after only owning it for a week.  Rust areas are starting to form on the top of the grill where the stainless counter top meets the black coated grill. It is also seen on the seams of the grill base and inside the canbinet.  I was hoping at the $700 price mark, i'd be getting a grill that would last me 10 years. So we'll see. I may have to get some naval grease to slow the rust.

The included cover looks really nice and is custom made to fit the grill,  but I am not sure if grill covers are supposed to be water proof or not.  This one is clearly NOT water proof as the grill is soaking wet when I uncover it.  Not to mention the grease trap is always full of water and the shelves inside the grill cabinet have puddles of water on them (mixed with the grease that overflowed from getting filled with water).  As a result, I can't store anything under there that could get rusty. I'm also spending 5 minutes wiping the water off the grill every time I go to use it. AND my dog is constantly licking the ground around the grill because she likes the taste of it now that the grease is all over the place...ugh. I'm afraid to use degreaser on my patio because i'm afraid the dog will eat that and get sick as well. This grill was supposed to to be an upgrade from my last grill, turns out, it comes with added chores. Guess I need a craftsman pressure washer to get the grease off my patio? Sears, you're so clever! Ca ching!
