    Ken Elite, job well done! March 11, 2012

    We neeeded a washer that would do multiple task for us and we found one that did. We are extremely happy with the performance. It cleans very well and spins the water from the laundry so well that we nearly cut our drying time in half. Saving a bundle on our electric bill. Smart choice for our family. Our Kenmore Elite handles hugh loads and our hugh bedding.

    Buy the same washer by LG without the touchscreen February 28, 2012

    This model looks extra spiffy with the touchscreen and looks like it super simple to use but it all ends there. The software is a disaster and has many bugs and the "SmartMotion" doesn't work like the Kenmore site says.


    The washer does a terrible job and doesnt do the "SmartMotion Cascade" so the clothes on top never make it to the bottom during wash. The only way I've been able to get it to do it is on Heavy Duty. So I've resorted to using this on Heavy soil and Extra High spin and now the machine semi-properly works as it should.

    Wow what a machine. Works like a charm. Our clothes come out cleaner than with our last washer. Has a great selection of options. It was very easy to install. We got a 125.00 rebate on our water bill for buying a high-efficiency washer. What more could you ask for, even the price was great.

    must like digital selections

    First of all, I love Kenmore products and have had years of experience with them and Sears.  This washer is quiet and works well.  So far, it hasn't gathered my clothes into a large mushroom like my previous model with no center agitator.  I find myself watching the clothes wash through the see-through lid. The nice part about the digital control is that it tells you the time it will take to complete the load (and it is acurate).  I thought I wanted the old mechanical controls and actually went to buy a different Kenmore model.  When we got there, the sale price on the digital model was less than the mechanical model, while the original price was much higher.  It appears that I got a better washer for less.  This model also has the Energy Star rating, so the clothes come out as clean as ever but with less water.  I am still learning how much HE detergent to use but it will get easier.  While my 92 year-old mother probably couldn't see or want to figure out the digital controls, it really is easy and actually fun!  That's what sold my husband who, by the way, does his own laundry.  Love my new washer (and dryer)!
