    Pleased with our grill May 19, 2007

    We wanted to upgrade our grill to one that would fit in our new back yard since we just put an inground pool. We wanted a large grill space because we knew we would be entertaining. We had this grill delivered and they set it up, they were very professional, showed my husband some of the features and how to use them. We have grilled twice and we are very pleased with the way the meat turns out, no flare ups, very easy to manage. This grill even has a warmer so when your food is finished and not ready to eat, it will keep it warm. The compartments are great, can store grilling utensils, plates, etc. It came with a cover which is wonderful, fits perfectly, our grill will last for many years. We would strongly recommend this grill for it's features/appearance.

    Product is great. Sears.com and service needs help May 31, 2007

    If it weren't for the fact that this was the only place we could buy this item we probably wouldn't have bought it. The product is fine, but this is the third thing we've bought from Sears in 2 years that has had difficulty being delivered/installed on time. We ordered this 3 weeks before Memorial Day anticipating our annual BBQ and it was promised for delivery the Monday before Memorial Day leaving us a few days to do the assembly. We got the call Sunday night that it wouldn't arrive until Friday. Our dishwasher arrived the Monday after Thanksgiving and was installed improperly causing the control panel to short out. Sears needs to reconsider outsourcing the delivery and installation from the Sears.com purchases.

    I have been holding out for a good quality stainless steel grill for a while and when I came across the Sear Kenmore Elite Grill Island, I couldn't pass it up. I also got a great deal buying the floor model and getting the Sears Lawn & Garden rebate. Mesquite smoker, drip pans, plenty of drawers and storage space, includes a top quality cover, motorized rotesserie, back burner, all grates and covers fit in the dishwasher and the stainless steel burners have a lifetime guarantee. WOW.

    The delivery was great, when I open the container I saw two small dents and some scratches on the hood. I tried the cover on and it was nice. The problem is , when I took the cover off it scratched the hood. I dusted the hood off and it scratched. Very cheap quality stainless. I expected better quality when you call it ELITE. The idea is, if you are unhappy pack it back up in container and you wil get another one. It would take too much time and almost impossible to put it back into the container. The next one will still be cheap stainless. I will use it but not happy. Too much $$$
