    Great water quality, good flow, easy to change out, efficient September 01, 2009

    The plumber installed our new water faucet, which matches our chrome hardware and looks lovely.  More important, the water quality is really outstanding.  It tastes good, and I know that it is being filtered with two filters, and a lot is being taken out of it.  It is so easy to change out the filters, such a relief from the heavy screw-in things.  The filters are reasonably priced compared to buying and carting home gallons of spring water from the store.  Finally, here is a filter system that seems to offer a good product, is attractively presented, and easy to install (by a professional) and to use.  Thank you.

    Kenmore 625.385010 leaks December 19, 2010

    Bought this for my mom because of ease of changing cartridges, and the thorough dual stage filtration. Unfortunately, like so many others, our unit leaked after she changed the cartridge, flooding her kitchen. I got the frantic long distance call and had to try to diagnose over the phone. Now I'm back home and have opened up the unit. It's leaking where the Number 2 cartridge screws into its holder. Given the numerous experiences others have had with this, we're going to just bite the bullet and buy a completely different unit instead of trying to fix this. Strongly recommend others avoid the Kenmore 625.385010 drinking water filter.

    Kenmore elite 2-stage water filter leaked and ruined my the bottom of my cabinet. Took filter apart and the housing was cracked where filter cartridge screws in. Leak started after replacing cartridges. Replaced filter assembly with new one. Just discovered this evening that the new one was leaking after I found mold under my cabinent. Took it apart and it was cracked like the first one. Am amazed that sears is still selling this poorly designed piece of junk.

    Filters are expensive

    Good tasting water, however it leaves sediment/mineral residue on the water bottle that we use.  Expensive filter replacement, discount on these type of products are not usually offered.

    I had this for over a year with no problems.  Water tasted good, I thought it was a pretty good system.  But when I tried to replace the filters last week it leaked and I could not get it to stop. Luckily it happened when I was changing the fiters and not while I was out.  I am now going to upgrade to an RO system, and not a kenmore.

    If you get this filter, get the Sears replacement warranty as well. The filter started leaking a lot and it cannot be repaired. Plus: water taste is excellent.
