how possible someone could give this 5 star
This thing make a big noise with its fan the first time I turned it on, sound its fan has striked something. I turn it off/on again and fortunately it worked again. Apparently some internal components were broken but I don't know what it is.
When it is working, the fan is not quiet, with the lowest setting it produces the noise the same level like conventional oven or microwave, another issue is its humidifier port stops working from time to time, you have to clean the condensed water from it every l to2 hours, otherwise it gets blocked, so do not wish its humidifier will keep working for the whole night.
for this price yo would expect ho get a much better quality, however Kenmore definitely is not such a good manufacturer

JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK JUNK
After reading the FIVE STAR reviews tonight, I decided to skip over the negative postings and drove thirty minutes to a Sears store that had these in stock. I then returned home and for about two minutes I had a nice working, efficient.... wait, who the eff am I kidding. I had a piece of junk that shut down and then started flashing blue lights on the control panel and would not function again. So, I did the reasonable thing and read the troubleshooting guide. Reasonable I said, lol. Who would think that troubleshooting would be filled with q&a's such as, will this help me heat my room, or can this heat more than one room, or my favorite, can I use this outside, lol. TROUBLESHOOTING???? WTF? Tomorrow, a return thirty minutes north to drop off this piece of and NO I will not go for round two. Why waste my time!!!! When you see a negative post on this product, pay attention. They are written for a reason!!!!

I bought this heater for my basement which stays around 65 when the house heater is on 75. I was able to heat the basement, clean the air and humidify and turn down the house thermostat to 73.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great item, the only problem is the humidifier has plenty or water in tank, but will shut unit down on low water warning. can start unit right back without doing anything. seem the line from the tank to the pump is kinked or stopped up.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

This heater beats out Edenpure BY FAR!
Edenpure was my go-to space heater for a long time, I took a chance and bought this Kenmore heater, and I am completely amazed. The multiple settings and features it has (humidifier and air purifier) makes this room amazing. I am heating my family room that is apprx 16x16 with 8' high ceilings and the heater only takes about 30 mins to get the room comfortable. Even switches to a neat BLUE LIGHT when it is not heating, then RED LIGHT goes on when its heating.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this heater the end of Nov and today is Dec14th and I haven't turned the heat on yet! This heater is amazing!!! Completely silent fan with such comfortable heat i am amazed! Love it, best purchase ever.

Not so good...
I had exactly the same problem with this item right out of the box - fan makes lots of unusual noise on High Setting. It sounds like it's hitting something inside. Also, if you look inside - there is black plastic dust all over and it smells when it burns. Sorry, but I'm returning this unit.

Didn't work right out of the box
Got this unit home and opened it and filled the humidifier and it would not turn on because the unit thought the ttank was empty. The unit also produced almost no heat, even on high setting. This is a new product, and needless to say I requested a refund not an exchange.
