    Better than Dyson and cheaper too! March 27, 2011

    I had originally gone into Sears for a completely different vacuum that had an attachment meant for hard wood floors and kept looking at the Intuition. It was rated very well by ****************, but I really wanted the floor tool because I am the worst sweeper ever, pregnant and I have a dog and a cat that shed year round. The sales man at the Sears, in Fredericksburg VA, took the model down from display and spread dirt all over the tile floor and spread it around to be more realistic. The Dyson I was also looking at (the pet version) was used as well and pushed the dirt every where and took forever to suck up and was heavy. The Intuition picked everything up with out pushing it around and was just hands down better. I brought it home in the box and it was so easy to put together that I didn't need the instructions. It is easy to switch between bare floor and carpet and it doesn't have a belt, so no worries about that rubber burning smell when your vacuum doesn't agree with something you vacuum up. It is light and easy. If I can lift it easy while pregnant any one can. The attachments actually fit where they are suppose to go and are easy to use. The only thing I would want on the vacuum is the self propel feature. Other than that it is the most perfect vacuum I have ever purchased!

    vaccum works fine with excellent suction.The problem with the vacuum is that it is very hard to push on average height carpet even when we set on the highest setting .I am 6 ft tall and after using for a few minutes i find it hard to push. My wife can't use on our wall to wall carpet for any length of time. If we were aware of this problem we would not have purchased the 31810.

    I no longer have to bend over to change level or use tools; however, it's much harder to push & manuever than my old kenmore upright. If you have alot of carpet, or medium to high pile, you will likely not like this vacuum. Seems to be a Design issue.

    We're very happy with this purchase. This vacuum has many features we enjoy. You are able to adjust the heighth with a touch of your foot and also disengage the brush when doing a hardwood floor.

    This is a little confusing. We tested the Intuition in the store and when we turned it on, it literally took off. We thought this would be a great vacuum. However, after we got home and plugged it in.. Different story. Too hard to push. Not even my husband could push it on our SHORT pile carpet. (He's 6'2", muscular). It's going back to the store and we'll ask for an explanation. And yes, we tested the one in the store on carpet.

    I bought this to replace my very tired Kenmore beltless drive and was a little afraid about the weight of it but it turns out it is lighter then my previous one. So far very happy with this purchase. Have wood floors and it has worked fine on them. I have a dog and it handles her hair just fine. I have one complaint and that is that the exhaust pushes the hair away sometimes and I have to go chase it down with the hose. I like being able to change the floor height with my foot my old one you had to slide with your hand and it was hard to do. The cord is shorter then my last one but there is still plenty of cord to do the job. The door to change bags is nice too it is attached and opens to the side so changing bags is a lot easier then my old one. I also like the fact that I can clean the beater brush because with my last one it was virtually impossible unless you took it in to be done. All in all I think this is a very good replacement for the one I retired.
