    the Kenmore Pro induction cooktop is terrific! cooking is much faster, lot more room for large pots so you can cook several items at the same time, neat looking. It is a great addition to my new kitchen

    Pros:
    easy clean-up,fast cooking,stylish looks

    After exhaustive research for an induction cooktop, I chose the Kenmore Pro 36" because of it's styling, features and functionality.  I love the easy clean-up and the fast, even cooking.  I rarely need to use the higher temperature settings except to boil water very, very fast.  

    My husband loves cooking pancakes and other breakfast foods.  I'm very happy I got the 36" version as I enjoy cooking more now and appreciate the additional burner and space.  The touch controls work beautifully and I especially like the lock out feature.  I never have to worry about the tea pot cooking dry because I've accidentally turned the burner on.  I also like that the burners turn off automatically if the pot is removed.  The cool down time is superior to gas or electric burners.  Although I haven't used it frequently, the timer is also a nice feature, especially if you're simmering a dish.  

    Yes, I had to purchase new cookware but thanks to a recommendation from Cooks Illustrated I now have a beautiful 10 piece Tramontina set that looks and feels great. I feel like  a real chef when I use it.  The cooktop and cookware are a perfect marriage.

    Pros:

    not compatible with all stainless steel

    I purchased this after looking at numerous other induction cooktops.  For the price, it had the best looks and features.  It performs exactly as expected, and saves cooking and clean-up time.  I installed it myself and it took about 1/2 a day (since I had to make some minor alterations to my countertop and kitchen cabinets).  The only downside was that I thought all my old stainless steel pots and pans would work with it, but discovered afterwards that I had only 1 skillet that was magnetic (plus the skillet that came with the range).  I took a magnet to the store with me when I went to buy new cookware so I could check that the pans I bought were induction-compatible.  You should be aware that not all stainless steel cookware will work with this type of cooktop.
