    I purchased the air purifier and found it to be not very satisfactory in its performance. I live in an apartment, and the air that it projected at the back of the filter rises vertically and remains there. The HEPA costs $100, and that is expensive for a senior on a fixed income. I solved the problem by purchasing a smaller unit similar in style, and laying it on its "back" on top of a small cabinet so that the air blows outward horizontally. This has made a big difference. I would recommend a circular model that operates 360 degrees instead.

    I bought the air purifier that this filter goes in, I can't find that system on this website anywhere anymore to write my review (which makes me wonder about it even more), so I am writing my review here. The filter did not last a week before it needed replaced. In the back of the unit is actually stryrofoam, it can not be removed, is a part of the way it was built, and this styrofoam turned BLACK right away, obviously because the filter wasn't filtering correctly and dirty air was blowing out. My ceiling is actually BLACK now because the machine was blowing dirty air out the top. And my home contains no more dust, dirt than anyone elses, and there is NO smoking in my home, so I'd say this was a horrible waste of money, I now have to have my ceiling painted AND the new filters for the machine actually cost more than the cost of the machine itself, and no one in town carries the filters. Do yourself a favor... do not buy this.
