    We purchased our new Kenmore Intuition upright vacuum at a Sears "Friends & Family" sale on March 27, 2010.  I have a 15 year old Kenmore canister vacuum that works great on my hard wood floors.  However, I wanted an upright for my wall-to-wall carpeting in my bedrooms because I have a black dog and light tan carpet.  I wanted a vacuum that was quiet, had a lot of suction, cleaned edges and had a bag.  This vacuum met all my requirements - and more.  I have used this vacuum for 2 months and I really LOVE it!  The suction is incredible!  I can't believe how much stuff it picks up.  And, it does a great job on the edges of my carpeting.  Adjusting the vacuum to different carpet heights is so easy - you just need to step of the foot pedal - no bending over needed!  The hose and attachments are very easy to access and they do a great job cleaning those hard to reach places.

    It came with a cloth HEPA bag which is really expensive to replace.  So, when I purchased the vacuum I bought a package of 8 paper bags (model U) and I am quite pleased that I had this option.  I like to change my bag a lot - since it typically gets full of dog hair.  There is no way I was going to pay for a cloth HEPA bag and I didn't want to hassle with trying to empty the cloth bag to re-use it.  For me, the paper bag option was a big plus because it was a lot less expensive.  I highly recommend this vacuum!

    Kenmore has hit a home run with this vacuum and believe me I have spent a lot of money on vacuums over the years, I tried the bag-less machine which works fine for a little while then there's the hassle of dealing with the dust and also the filters in the can that filters the dust were expensive to replace. Then  those bargain machines that doesn't do well at all, well enough about those wanna  be vacuums lets now talk about mine, the suctions is outstanding, and i just love the attachment for the steps that has a built in brush that turns, there.s also a wand that stretches, they also have built in sensors that lets you know when the area is clean by turning green. The vacuum is very well built using good materials  and amazingly quiet I caught it on sale for under 200 bucks  thinking  I was going to try it and end taking it back but  it's  well worth the regular price of about 400 dollars will keep that between us,  so if you need a machine that actually does the job of vacuuming this is the machine, not to mention it looks great doing it a beautiful machine. The only negative is that it's a little heavy but within average compared to other machines in its price range, but even so its still a ten!
