    WOW October 30, 2008

    I bought my vacuum about a year ago. I have never had a vacuum that has this much suction, and it cleans the carpet. I have a couple of friends that have also gotten this vacuum because it does so well. We are all amazed at all of the pet hair and other stuff it picks up everytime we use it.

    DO NOT BUY March 08, 2009

    This vacuum has to many filters that clog constantly! It is very heavy. I hate it and the color looks like avocado back in the 70's. I loved the Kenmore Quick Clean Bagless upright (BLUE) vacuum. I thought this one was the improved version of the above-mentioned vacuum with the self-winding cord and clear beaterbrush window. NOPE it the worst vacuum I have ever used even the power switch is located in a hard to reach location. You have to keep going over and over any area you clean. Won't pick up well. Don't waste you hard-earned cash on this junk.

    I was given this vacuum as a gift in January 2009. One year later, in January 2010, the belt broke and the beater bar melted and fused together. It was surprising to see my new, 1-yr-old vacuum already in the repair shop at Sears! I was very pleased that they honored my one year warranty, since I brought it in the week after my warranty expired. However, exactly one year later, in January 2011, the beater bar overheated, melted, fused together, and broke the belt again! We do not use this vacuum heavily, so there is no reason it should break twice in two years. Customer Care from Sears/Kenmore told me very politely that there was nothing they could do other than charge me to replace the broken beater bar. I expected better from a brand like Kenmore. The quality of this vacuum is not worth the price.

    I was given this vacuum to use while my simplicity vacuum , which is of far better quality than this thing, gets repaired. It would shut off every 10 minutes from over heating then you would have to sit and wait 15min for it to come back on. How long would you suspect it would take to vacuum your floors if you had to put up with this torture? Thank God I would never buy such a heap of junk as this. All I can say is anyone who even shucks out a $1 for this garbage is CRAZY!!!! I'm dropping this thing back off and getting something else or I'm going to loose it and smash this DAM thing into pieces. My theory about Sears is that the only thing they make that has any sort of quality, are hand tools.

    This vacuum puts Dirt Devil to shame!! It has much more sucking power than Dirt Devil, Hoover and Eureka. The on board tools are handy and very easy to use.

    not good on carpets

    I wish I had read everybody else's reviews before I bought it. This is a terrible vacuum. The handle release fell off and I can't get it back on. The on/off button is in an akward place. The attachments never stay on and I have lost one of them. It just does not work well.
